Not only was he out of position many times, half of his INT's (can you take 1/2 of 7?) were way overthrown and Stevie was playing deep centerfield and lucked into 3-4 gifts.
I'd rather use the 2nd on an OL or LB, or a rook safety in a year of strong safeties

I'm going to be very interested in KP's performance this year. I think he will be much better with another year beyond the micro fracture surgery. There are no guarantees, just like rolling the dice on TT, but we should be able to keep KP on the cheap.

Not claiming to be a draftnik, but everything I've heard about this year's draft is that there isn't a lot of top tier talent, but there's a ton of depth at a lot of positions, like OL. Having an extra second rounder would be very nice, too.
Sounds like most of our players.
Torque it till it breaks, then back off a 1/4 turn.

I'd go with the pick, because we have no idea if Brown was a 1yr wonder or not. The guy was nothing the first few yrs in his career, and now is a beast? I sure hope so, and i love em as a reserve role S, but not were talking solid money and being able to repeat seasons that have been rare in his career..

All in all, i'd take the 2nd rd pick, but i'm intrigued in seeing if Brown can come close to replicating last yrs numbers...

          2nd rounder
Because of all of the effort and examination being poured into these predictions, the draft is a robust market that, in the aggregate, does a good job of sorting prospects from top to bottom.1 Yet despite so many people trying to “beat the market,” no single actor can do it consistently. Abnormal returns are likely due to luck, not skill. But that hasn’t stopped NFL executives from behaving with the confidence of traders.

            Keep him, no brainer.
No one remembers who came in second.

I doubt any team gives up a 2nd for him. RFA's changing teams is so rare.

no way we could afford to lose Stevie Brown..especially if we don't resign Phillips. I believe he led all safeties in INT's.

I tend to agree.. Its 2 short of a impact for him to warrent a 2nd rder at this point.. If he'd done this for 2 or 3 yrs in a row, it'd be diffrent..

Getting a #2 for Brown wouold be a steal; but it won't happen. He'll be back.

They can't cut Rolle, he's too valuable considering we have poor corners. Rolle's too versatile of a player and one of the few who steps up as a leader. I'd love to see him restructure though...

He cant restructure... You mean youd love to see him take a pay cut.

See the thread on PFF values. Rolle is one of the worst safeties in the league statistically.

So you are saying Reese should tender him with a 1st round pick ?!?! I don't think that's happening.

Rolle is a player, letting him go will be a mistake.
                              I agree.

If Stevie is back I'm not upset but if he is gone the second rounder makes me happy. There are a couple safeties I like Elam and Ramboo alot. I like will hill and rolle. Also with sash and Terrell Thomas to be looked at safety seems like a lot of depth. So for me I take a draft pick.

I really want someone to pick up Cruz. He wants to get paid and slot receivers to me aren't worth it. Guys like swopes, stills, Austin, or Robinson. I think he walks Next year.
