we try to make a run every year. A well run organization does not need rebuilding phases..we replenish players lost to FA or cuts with players already on the roster that they have been grooming. It all comes down to drafting wisely and not out of necessity. Take the best players available and let them challenge for a spot.

Relax.. There are deadlines coming up in next week and a half. Prior to those dates they will make some Cuts then use FA and draft to fill the holes
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

      # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
      2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
      3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
      4-New York Giants!!!
      5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

there is also the training camp factor. there is little incentive to cut dea weight right now, plenty of time for that. All that is needed now is to stay far enough under the cap to sign the rooks and offer the tenders, other than that there is no reason to cut even vets who seem over the hump.

even a worn out veteran can provide compettition to a younger prospect, or worst case scenario, an ailing veteran might out perform your intended replacement in which case you are glad you waited to make the cut.

I wouldn't be opposed to cutting either of those guys or at least re-structuring their deals cause there are a decent amount of talented CBs and OGs in this years draft that would be much cheaper than Webster or DIehl
Come check the G-Fambulance and The Scarf Soldiers every home game in Lot L6, and like us on facebook and instagam 'NYG Scarf Soldiers'

For example Webster.....if they cut him they would save $7,250,000 according to Optimus-NY BBI. DD about $4,825,000 in cap room, those two right there we save about $12M. With that money we can sign our own FA/RFA like KP, VC.

Only reason I bring this up is because I feel that the Giants are great at drafting, like someone on here said "no one has a perfect draft" no one drafts players that start that next year and all pan out. But! i feel like the Giants do well enough to let these guys go and trust in the draft, plus the draft is full of good talent when it comes to Defense.

              Thoughts?
CWeb was one of the best CBs in the league in 2011 (legit top 5).

You don't cut someone like that the second they don't perform.
I don't always root for the Cowboys but when I do I wear my pink Jessica Simpson edition Romo jersey. (yes I lost a bet)

People around here are too knee-jerky.Yes, Webster had a horrible year, but save for the second half of '09 where the entire defense **** the bed, he's been an excellent corner since the '07 SB run. At this point I think it's just as likely that Webster rebounds next year as it is that he plays again like he had in '12.

I do think we should work on lowering his cap hit this season somehow.

It's early......give it time. They are only just now starting to bring in FA. Gotta see what you can get and how much it's going to cost.
I stopped fighting my inner demons. We're on the same side now.
