  • Kenny Phillips turns down long term contract. Wants more money

    In Reese We Trust
Giants offered Kenny Phillips a new long term contract but according to reports, Phillips is looking for more money and will test FA #nyg #giants

Too bad. I would have liked to see KP back. I'm thinking greed from this often injured safety will backfire.

As the old saying goes, the grass is not always greener on the other side. Who knows, maybe Carolina will be interested in him and have the cap space to sign him. Im sure there may be other suiters as well, but to me, any GM has to realize with KP, that the buyer needs to beware. That in regards to his health of course. When he is healthy, he definitely is one of the top safeties in the league.

      Good luck with that KP.
I totally trust Reese on that case.

        Ditto.

        I'll miss Superman though.
I don't always root for the Cowboys but when I do I wear my pink Jessica Simpson edition Romo jersey. (yes I lost a bet)

Damn wish he didn't turn it down. JR can't and shouldn't break the bank on him though. Thanks for the years KP

Quite ashame since KP was a really underrated S across the league. Loads of talent but we can't afford to get into a big contract with him considering the knees. Best of luck to him.

thanks for the memories KP but your knees are not worth big money, best of luck.

I see what you did there !
We need another safety option. We'll do fine with Hill and Brown but bring back the Nickel Package with our LB situation will be nice.

"Green" being money, it most certainly is greener elsewhere.

He is a fan favorite but they will have to move on. They don't have a lot if money and he has a history of injuries.

This is why it's premature to kick Rolle and Diehl to the curb. You have to know who you're going to have before you cut ties with players.
