Players like Cruz, Welker, and Amendola are unique.

Another testament to Reese's eye for talent, short and long term

What I do know is that you're very critical of moderators, so I think your distaste of mods would cloud your judgement which could in turn leading to excessive nitpicking, i.e. pointing out synonyms.

"But Victor Cruz is the most interesting. The New York Giants slot receiver will almost certainly receive a first-round tender if the team can't work out a long-term deal with him. And from what I hear, there is already a ton of interest and plenty of teams just waiting for their opening."

It just might be convenient for other teams, that view cruz's overall play as a number 1 receiver to pay/ relinquish the 1st round pick for his proven veteran acheivments over an unproven; in a position that is the hardest to transition to the pro level from college.

read into it however you like, but when it comes to the draft/ free agency / teams looking to spark life into their fan base and generate revenue. Nothing is impossible.

            • This board will crash if another team picks up Cruz as a RFA. I can already imagine the tears if it happens.

When moderators delete my threads for no apparent reason, why shouldn't I be critical? I'm a member who frequents here as much as you or any other user. I deserve equal rights.

It would be a loss, but we would just move on. I would think our chance at contending could be in jeopardy though.

Maybe you but the Reese faithful would be calling for his head.

I don't think so. There seems to be more members here who believe the 1st round pick would be more than worth having Cruz on the team.

I'm not condemning you for your criticism of mods. You can criticize whoever you want...because you have just as much right to do so as anyone else.

That's if we get a 1st rounder for Cruz.

Agree no matter what happens its a business and Reese has to make tough decisions. Anyone that would be calling for Reese's head doesn't understand the business side of the game.

The Giants would have to get a 1st rounder for him. There is no way they tender him at any other level.

I continue to be optimistic as to Cruz's long term team affiliation being right here
