  • Jets, Panthers Among Teams Pursuing Giants' Kevin Boothe

    http://www.giants101.com/2013/03/16/...-kevin-boothe/

Excerpt: "If the New York Giants want to re-sign starting left guard Kevin Boothe, they might want to do it a little quicker. Jason LaConfora of CBS Sports reports theChicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers and New York Jets are all interested in Boothe's services for 2013.

"Hearing that Kevin Boothe, one of top OL still on market, taking to NYG, his most recent team, as well as CAR, NYJ and AZ," La Canfora tweeted.

Boothe became a starter for the Giants during the 2011 season after Will Beatty suffered a season-ending eye injury that shifted David Diehl back to left tackle and gave Boothe the chance to be the starter.

Boothe has been a Giant since the 2007 season and has spent most of his career as a backup, but has performed well as a starter on the offensive line.

The Giants are still in the mix for Boothe as well, according to La Canfora, as they do view him as one of their current priorities right now. But with their cap space so limited right now, don't be surprised if another team swoops in with an offer that beats out the Giants and lures him away from New York." Read more...

So with all the late signing can we assume Kevin Boothe all but gone.

This O line was dreadful last year, you can make the case that it costs us the playoffs

Agree but I'm referring about limited cap space available to sign Kevin " aka Booty time " Boothe.

Get some big bodies in the draft. Let Boothe go. He will cost to much to retain
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

            # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
            2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
            3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
            4-New York Giants!!!
            5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

It seems like everyone -- despite all the voiced concerns about the OL -- wants the same unit retained.

Good bye Boothe, I would love you back as depth, but you would undoubtedly start.
