  • Victor Cruz Rumors: Jim Irsay Stirring The Pot

    http://www.bigblueview.com/2013/3/17...l-trade-rumors

Excerpt: "The Internet is on fire today with wild speculation about a potential trade by the New York Giants of restricted free agent wide receiver Victor Cruz to the Indianapolis Colts.

Well, everybody just relax for a second. All of this speculation has been stirred up by a series of cryptic tweets from Colts' owner Jim Irsay -- tweets that never mention Cruz or the Giants, but hint at a whopper of a trade for a wide receiver.

Our friends at SB Nation's Colts web site, Stampede Blue, have all of Irsay's chatter. If you have to see it, go there. I'm not going to repeat it.

While you are reading all the Internet speculation, and fanning the flames of panic among Giants' fans, realize one thing. Not one credible source has caught wind of any of this. Not Adam Schefter of ESPN. Not Jay Glazer of FOX. Not Albert Breer or Jason LaCanfora from NFL Network. Not Mike Garafolo of USA Today. Not any of the plethora of outstanding beat writers." Players come and go on the Free Agency Merry-Go-Round, but the N.Y. Giants will always be here!

seems like all the teams with the shot at making a move for Cruz have a draft pick either close to or way above ours. If we lose him i would want it to be someone in top 10 or 15 picks
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

            # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
            2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
            3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
            4-New York Giants!!!
            5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

Every team mentioned so far has dropped out of the hunt if the fox ever left the barn.

I think if no offer sheets are presented this week, it's not going to happen and I don't think it's going to happen anyway. With Condon onboard now we should at least be able to expect reasonable negotiations to take place with the Giants.
