I thought we were going to get a 5th or 6th. I don't know why a lot of people thought we were going to get a bunch of picks this year, though.

        RT @ProFootballWkly: #Texans, #Chiefs, #Titans get 3rd-round compensatory picks. #Ravens, #49ers, #Lions, #Falcons with 4th-rounders.

RT @NFLfootballinfo: 32 compensatory draft picks awarded to 16 clubs. Atlanta & Baltimore awarded most with 4 each.

And my question has been answered! @RVacchianoNYDN: Comp picks are based on free agent gains and losses from the previous year. The formula is both complicated and mysterious ...

I also believe the size of contracts plays a role in there, too.

We all knew this... just doesn't quite ever make sense.

Manningham and Ross only netted us a 7th?

                  Don't forget Tolly.

However, Tolly and MM's contracts weren't very big.

We also signed 3 guys, Bennett, Locklear, and Rogers. We netted the same number of FAs that we lost.

Even still, thought we were getting at worst a 6th.

I don't understand, who did the Texans, Chiefs, Titans, and Falcons lose that would get them 3rd and 4th round picks. Especially the Chiefs, they made a bunch of huge signings.

Well, the Texans lost Mario Williams. He got a $100m contract. The Chiefs lost Carr, who got a pretty big contract from Dallas. Don't really know who the rest lost.

Remember, this is based on who teams lost and gained last offseason.
