  • Even with the same offensive line, Giants expect group to improve

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/fo...icle-1.3362347

Excerpt: "The Giants have high expectations entering this season, but perhaps their most glaring weakness is the offensive line.

Big Blue returns all five starters on the line this season, but center Weston Richburg and guard Justin Pugh are optimistic things will be different.

“As an offensive unit, we didn’t have our best year last year,” Richburg said Thursday as the Giants reported to training camp. “We can play so much better than we did.”

The Giants did sign former first-round pick D.J. Fluker and drafted Adam Bisnowaty — a tackle from Pitt — with their sixth pick in the draft to add some depth, but otherwise things look awfully the same." Read more...

Sounds a lot like last year's premise.
No one remembers who came in second.

They did mention added Fluker and Drafting Bisnowaty. Didn't mention however the two UDFAs pickups that we been hearing about all offseason Wheeler & Dunker. Hopefully those 4 impress enough to get significant playing time behind these so called starters.

And hopefully they are good enough to step in and make a difference/ marked improvement if our worst fears are realized and the guys from last few years still STINK
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

        # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
        2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
        3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
        4-New York Giants!!!
        5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

My sense is the OL will be better, quite possibly, very good. Frankly that is based on a hope, rather than analysis. But I am optimistic about the OL this season.

......we all know the definition of insanity, don't we?

We have no plan B on the OL (again ) so call me insane.

I agree. Besides Pugh, Richburg. We have 4 guys that are questionable. A rookie late round draft pick. A practice squad player. 6 UDFA one of which is converted D linemen. A back up center. That is reality.

Let's tee it up and see where it leads us. Go Blue!

Excuse my rusty brain, I have been absent from football for a while. The name of the 3rd year left tackle escapes me. But all I want to hear is that he has been working out with some kind of left tackle guru all off season. FLOWERS.
