How did you take away that Goodson is a backup?

I thought Goodson made some great plays
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

      # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
      2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
      3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
      4-New York Giants!!!
      5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

i guess i would quote carl banks
        hes slow to react
the MLBer needs to be the most astute quick to react
        player on defense
luckily we have a vet to olug the hole
BMac will not be as stubborn as Coughlin
who left mark herzlich in there as a rookie unimaginably
ineffective and clueless about what was coming

Zone blitz is a common play in most schemes. Even by the Giants.

You have Goodson pegged already.....ha ha

I like Mac as the HC.

looking forward to the next couple of games

I thin Goodson will be a good MLB. He has some things to learn but he has the tools.

Goodson looked very good last night IMO. Sure he was slow to react on some plays, but that is not a surprise since it was his first game. He had about 17 total plays last year. I think he look decent against the pass, better than I expected, he will pick up blitzing pretty well. Against the run he is going to be really good. His power taking on blockers is really impressive.
              LT (132.5) -> Strahan (141.5) -> Osi (65) -> Tuck (60.5) -> JPP (50) -> ???

no doubt. Not sure what is expected of him right now. His arrow seems to be pointing up for sure though

                  ok ok
maybe im being a bit presumptive
                  but
this is a super bowl potential year for real
not a good year to be breaking in a "rookie" MLBer
                  that worries me

                      despite the score
one of the most impressive 1st preseason game ive seen in 50 years as a Giants fan

I saw vibrant new players in blue all over the field
from the kicker to the new TEs to the rookie RB
                      we look good
                      real good
that Alabama DT pushing the entire much vaunted
                      Pittsburgh line backwards was amazing

as for HC the agony on here of sending Tom walking
was surreal. he earned it and BMac fully deserved to
replace him and low and behold it worked

Overall Geno did a good job but had a really bad one, but overall leaps and bounds over Johnson and Webb. Defense has some interesting players over there who look like they really have the need to mix it up, they were all pumped up. Can't wait to see the 1st lineup as these guys will love filling in to keep everyone fresh.

Still looking for something from special teams.
