  • Ben McAdoo wants to see more from RB Paul Perkins | Giants takeaways

    http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2...rt_river_index

Excerpt: "Paul Perkins broke a 7-yard run on the Giants' first offensive play in Friday's preseason-opening loss to the Steelers.

    Ben McAdoo wasn't satisfied.

"Perkins was 1-on-1 with the safety, and we need more than seven yards there," the Giants' head coach said Saturday on a conference call with local reporters a day after the 20-12 loss to Pittsburgh at MetLife Stadium. "He's got to make him miss, he's got to run him over. We've got to at least get a first down out of that play."

It was a surprisingly candid comment from McAdoo, who tends to be quite guarded when speaking with the media. He's been surprising of late when it comes to Perkins, though. McAdoo declared the second-year back the team's starter during an audience with WFAN's Mike Francesa in May, even though he rarely commits to lineup details like that." Read more...

Maybe when Mac A Doodle comes up with some misdirection and gets away from his 10 play playbook, maybe, just maybe Perkins will make some noise.

Maybe McAdoo should want to see more from the OL! That is where the Giants truly need to improve.

Just keep repeating Jerry Reese's manta, " The O-line will be fine."

                  Word.
"Sir, I was wondering: did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night?"
                  "No...I didn't."
"Oh it was most exhilarating: the Giants of NY took on the Packers of Green Bay and in the end the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big H. It was a most ripping victory."

I like Darkwa and have been in his corner but what makes you think he can be an all pro RB??

11 yds avg per carry. He was injured 2016. This season we will learn if he is injury prone. www.nj.com/giants/index.s

Hes tough. But injuries have sidelined him 2 yrs in a row. To his credit he was re-signed. Stay injury free Orleans, we need you.

I think Reese gave him a good team. The O-line was not good before Mac took over. No one can deny that. But in 15 the Offense put up good yardage and TD numbers. Last year it flat out sucked. If it folds ( I don't think it will) it is on him.
