  • Jeremy Horne WR from Univ Massachusetts

Jeremy Horne and Victor Cruz were both wide receivers on the UMass team and friends. Some draft experts thought Jeremy Horne was the better of the two receivers. Both went undrafted. Victor Cruz went the the NY Giants and became a NFL league Star. Jeremy Horne went to Kansas City and bounced back and forth between the practice squad and the regular roster. Now the NY Giants have signed Jeremy Horne. He has a chance as a return specialist and the last receiver on the roster. Jeremy Horne has very good speed and decent size at 6-2 193 lbs. Is it possible that lightning from UMass can strike twice in New York? Only time can tell but he will have a chance on a Giants team looking for more speed from the receiver position and looking to replace Hixon and Barden.

I swear I read the same exact thing with Julian Talley last year. I guess we'll see through camp.

If he couldn't make it on a team with crappy receivers I have my doubts he sticks here unless he shows some great spt play

Wishing the young man all the best here with the Giants. Replacing Barden is a non-issue.
No one remembers who came in second.

EXACTLY the same thing. Douglas and Talley were going to be the next Wes Welker and Victor Cruz.
WE ALREADY HAVE A GREAT RUNNING BACK:

I'm sure he was asked this in interviews despite it being frowned upon by the NFL.

He beat out the soon to be legend Marcus Davis. I'm impressed.

Agreed, KC needed receivers to step up and Mr. Horne didn't cut it apparently.

I understand the irony around here but this is part of what Mr. Reese and Co. do for a livivg, searching for hidden gems, players with talent that fit the bill and have what it takes to be a true Giant. Low risk high reward if you hit the jackpot with a Victor Cruz once in a while.

Last receiver on the roster? We're looking at a lot of players, it's too soon to know who will be on the final 53 after Nicks, Cruz, Randle, Jernigan, and Murphy. Here is where versatility matters though. If Horne can return, he may well make it.

This is funny I started collecting Football cards again and I got a random autograph from a 2010 rookie. Found out who it was was and was disappointed. I never heard of the guy. Looked him up and found out he has not really played a down in the NFL. Now I come to find out my team the New York Giants signed him. Talk about a happy mofo. The player is WR Jeremy Horne (ex-Kansas City Chiefs. My autograph should be here this week in the mail.

I posted this in another topic also. Just funny i was saying great i got some bum autograph. Now hes a giant and my only autograph from a Giant. I might frame it on the wall. hahaha
