  • All of a sudden everyone’s forgotten about who is really behind this mess

McAdoo may not be a good coach, but who decided to let Coughlin go (who has turned the Jaguars around ) kept the inept GM (whose record of bad drafts over the years are clear) and chose McAdoo as head coach?!
The ownership is clueless... they need to get a proven football guy to evaluate everything and everyone and replace Reese and some of the scouts as soon as possible....

Respectfully no one has forgotten that. Been talking about it all season.

This goes much farther back than just the decision to let Tom go

doesnt matter that TC is having success with the Jags. It was time for him to go.

The org made their decisions based on the fact that they thought they would be successful. Things have turned out bad and now they need to have another go at it.

The main issue 2 years ago, in Mara's own words, was that the defense was broken, and it's up to Reese to fix it.

It looked like he did for at least one season.

Now the ENTIRE team is broken.

IMO Reese doesn't get another chance. Someone else gets hired and tries.

                "No...I didn't."
"Oh it was most exhilarating: the Giants of NY took on the Packers of Green Bay and in the end the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big H. It was a most ripping victory."

                  Agree 100%.
Worst decision was to let TC go without Reese. I remember saying to give TC one more year knowing the cap space available for 2016.
Getting rid of McAdoo right now won't do anything. The GM has to go with him. Everyone has to be on the same page.

Such a scatterbrained non-football decision move by Mara.

Idiot Reese wrote a check & bought a mercenary Defense for 1 year....now the Giants have all the loyalty money can buy, Martin Sheen's line in Wall Street.. I don't go to bed with *****s ... & I don't wake up with *****s.....care for a cigarette Jerry

Yep, this. Also, happy for TC, but hes having success in a different role. I think the change was ultimately good for him.

Can we stop acting like Coughlin turned around the Jags too. That team was 99% in place when he got there. Building that defense in the last 3 drafts and taking Fournette this year turned that team around

I guess the OP has not read our posts about Mara and his "class"! The problem begins with Mara moves on to Reese, the coaching staff and it ends with the players. Have been saying this since after the 2nd SB. It was the lack of planning and especially the decision to extend Eli with a no trade clause knowing all too well that Eli was on the decline. Then it came the piece-meal "house cleaning" again with no clear plan for succession in the key positions (HC, OC, GM, key players). But hey, Mara has "class" so we should not be complaining! After all we are not the Browns! Oh wait.....

Coughlin just hired Doug Marrone and brought a winning culture to a young team. Don’t want to give him credit that’s fine.

The Giants are a laughing stock while the Jaguars are heading in the right direction.

LOL. Marrone was the interim head coach of that in 2016 and was named the new head coach on the same day that Coughlin was hired. But sure, everything is Toms doing. Perfect example of people just wanting to make up their own narrative.
