If you don't keep good players no matter what you think of them your not going to win. Who's going to play ?

I think the Jenkins play was completely blow out of proportion. He got caught in a bad position and the TE made a cut and got past him. What I did see is a lack of passion that Jenkins typically puts in. The guy just came off a suspension and I'm not going to hate if he was down a bit mentally. Because the overall body of work on Jenkins proves he is a game changer, I'm not letting one play over-ride the rest of what he has done.

Give this dude a break, he's been banged up all season and still has been the best corner for the Giants.

I would question Apple's skills and motivation though.

It's just me that's changing as I get older. I'm starting to think the whole idea of paying these guys this kind of money is just plain stupid when so many other things that are legitimate need attention in our society.

Lack of passion equates to me as not living up to the contract. Jeep if your making 15 million for the job you do. Would you ever lack passion to do what was expected of you. I don't think you would and you don't play a kids game to earn a living.

          I agree about Apple also.

Players come and go on the Free Agency Merry-Go-Round, but the N.Y. Giants will always be here!

This is true, but I don't see how this changes because of the way the United States is built fundamentally.

I don't have a problem with them getting paid, because these guys put their health on the line. I sure as hell wouldn't do it! Furthermore, these players are the product. They are the ones selling the jerseys and bringing in the revenue. As much as they're getting paid, the owners are making much much more off the backs of these players. No one comes to games to see Jerry Jones, but he would like you to think otherwise LOL.

Lol. The irony of this post. This coming from a guy who constantly complains and *****es about how much Eli makes.

I hope he is gone. He is a good talent and it will be tough to replace him as it is not easy to find a guy who can go toe-to-toe with the leagues best receivers. But, I'd much rather the Giants give that 13mil or whatever it is to guys who play hard every snap. Janoris is not a winning player, he is not the type of guy you build around. It is time to change the culture around here. He will be 30 next season anyways so he doesn't have long-term value.

The thing that bothers me most is him not showing up to practice after the BYE week. When the season ends, I feel that Janoris is just a guy who is happy to collect a check. It doesn't matter to him that the team loses/doesn't reach its goals. He is an "independent contractor".

Lets see how he does the rest of the season. If he bounces back Sunday and shut down Tyreke Hill then what? We're not going to just Cut and Fire everybody people RELAX!

If you were to cut all the players who phoned it in this year we wouldn't have a roster for the 2018 season. The entire defense has been phoning it in since OBJ went down. For me Collins is the biggest disappointment - I thought this guy was going to be a leader for years to come. How do you go from DMVP candidate to a complete bum in one off-season?

Honestly, the only established players on this squad who seem to be acting professionally and at least trying to make an effort are Eli and Shepard. For all the criticism Eli continues to get, this guy makes ZERO excuses and is still playing his *** off out there for a 1-8 team that is trying to tank. I don't think members of this board realize the vacuum that will be left when Eli retires, or worse when he's scapegoated out of town.

The bottom line is this: this is not a mentally tough team. And I'm sorry to break it to you, but firing a coach won't change that.

Instead he has to check the tape to reassess Jenkins performance. Or for a better word lack of.
for a guy that relies on all that tape checking, we should have been ready to win more of these games!! what is he looking at weekly??
