Asking and demanding are not the same. If you are asking someone for something, it's a request. A demand is a full expectation.

The difference was that Bo was a great baseball player and genuinely wanted to play baseball. Elway never wanted to be a baseball player for his career. It was just a leverage chip.
But when Frank Kush called Elway after the draft, Elway acted like a spoiled brat, by his own admission.

he has the most redzone turnovers the last 2 (or 3) yrs even more than Sanchez, and is 2nd in turnovers overall the past 2 (or 3) yrs in turovers to Sanchez (if not actually worse than him, I thought I recalled Rivers had the most turnovers the past 2 yrs as well).

he's single handedly cost SD a handful of games. He plays with stats on his mind BLATANTLY. he was boss when he had a LT and Gates in their prime with the beast OL they had.
A few yrs ago, I noticed he was having issues with his technique. He was trying to compensate for his weak arm way too much and his accuracy, what used to be his strong suit, was now a big issue. i called that he'd regress and regress until he either got canned or the coaches got canned.

this flaw with rivers isnt going away. i think mccoy or whoever their new coach is realizes that and its why he made the 70% accuracy request. Rivers is actually around that accuracy mark on passes 10 yds or shorter as is already. I expect to see much more of that this year. I dont expect to see him go downfield near as much bc he simply cant/sucks at it now.
i expect we see the chad pennington offense in SD for a season then they'll draft a QB and the chargers will go from tehre. hes been absolutely putrid.

His own fan base? Steeler fans love the guy, and he played in a Super Bowl that made Kerry Collins Super Bowl bearable.
It's a team game, and Eli is part of the team.

I understand the meaning of the words Rudy. Archie left a distinct impression that Eli had no intention of playing for SD. He was trying to rig the system. Which was arrogant.

The more addicted someone is the more money the Casino makes. (and the government in the case of the lottery).
They prey on people with the hopes of getting them hooked.

But that was not a demand. He just simply said hey, I don't want to play for SD.

I could be wrong, but somewhere in that debacle I believe the Manning team said Eli would "refuse to play for San Diego." I see that as demanding.

Do you know the journalist Louis Theroux? He makes excellent documentaries, and he made one about gambling and the casino's. It's on youtube, check it out.

yup. it actually started a bit before that. i think that AFC CG he tried playing through with the knee injury, while proved he was tough, ultimately led to the issue u speak of. similar with peytons neck injury, it actually happened over a season earlier in a gamve vs washington. it just didnt become as big an issue until down the line when something aggravated it.

but yeah, he's trying to overcompensate for his arm with his lower body and its led to some funky mechanics. his accuracy used to be his strong point, and on passes 10 yds or less, he still is very accurate to be fair. he starts to really struggle on anything more than that. i still cant believe SD didnt lynch him for that KC game when he literally fumbled the kneel down snap away lol...wow. that was after throwing a costly late game int...

i mean if eli is inconsistent, rivers is flat awful then. because he will have these spurts of absolute mind numbingly dumb plays. that 4th and long vs the jets where he threw it into the 3rd row of the stands on their last possession lmao...some of the picks he threw last yr were of the most god awful variety ive ever seen its actually comical if one wants to youtube it and get a laugh. passes where hes staring down a DB and throws it at his numbers for the DB to pick 6 it lol hilarious...often thatd happen lol
