They prey on people with the hopes of getting them hooked.

This is why I will never buy even a scratch ticket.
So do you think all people who gamble are addicted to it ?

but yeah, he's trying to overcompensate for his arm with his lower body and its led to some funky mechanics. his accuracy used to be his strong point, and on passes 10 yds or less, he still is very accurate to be fair. he starts to really struggle on anything more than that. i still cant believe SD didnt lynch him for that KC game when he literally fumbled the kneel down snap away lol...wow. that was after throwing a costly late game int...

i mean if eli is inconsistent, rivers is flat awful then. because he will have these spurts of absolute mind numbingly dumb plays. that 4th and long vs the jets where he threw it into the 3rd row of the stands on their last possession lmao...some of the picks he threw last yr were of the most god awful variety ive ever seen its actually comical if one wants to youtube it and get a laugh. passes where hes staring down a DB and throws it at his numbers for the DB to pick 6 it lol hilarious...often thatd happen lol
I agree that Rivers makes dumb plays.
      He's Eli without the rings.

Ridiculous! He is no Eli. Rivers' dumb is excrutiatingly worse than Eli's dumb lol.

            No I don't Byron.
But they hope so. I can see Casino's, which are private businesses looking to make a profit (I still hate them though) but for the state to conduct lotteries is a disgrace. they prey on the very people they are sworn to represent, all in the name of political cowardice.

I think" Eli dumb" and "Rivers dumb" is eerily similar.

he's single handedly cost SD a handful of games. He plays with stats on his mind BLATANTLY. he was boss when he had a LT and Gates in their prime with the beast OL they had.
A few yrs ago, I noticed he was having issues with his technique. He was trying to compensate for his weak arm way too much and his accuracy, what used to be his strong suit, was now a big issue. i called that he'd regress and regress until he either got canned or the coaches got canned.

this flaw with rivers isnt going away. i think mccoy or whoever their new coach is realizes that and its why he made the 70% accuracy request. Rivers is actually around that accuracy mark on passes 10 yds or shorter as is already. I expect to see much more of that this year. I dont expect to see him go downfield near as much bc he simply cant/sucks at it now.
i expect we see the chad pennington offense in SD for a season then they'll draft a QB and the chargers will go from tehre. hes been absolutely putrid.
Rivers certainly has been a shadow of his former self, but seriously? You're just ragging on the guy.

It just came off as a spoiled kid operating above the law. I didn't like it, but that's just me. I guess if you have the leverage then you might as well use it.

This IMO, was a case where the father did what he felt was in the best interest of his son having played his career with a miserable team. Let's not forget that.

After visiting with SD, Archie made it clear that it was not a good fit and requested they trade the pick to us.

It didn't bother me simply because I was intrigued about this kid wanting to play for us.

Yes the Manning's told SD that Eli would sit out the year and re-enter the '05 draft if SD took him.

Oh I wanted him too. But you're supposed to be honored when a team wants you enough to draft you, especially the first player in the draft.

The "fit" was fine. He just didn't like AJ.

How many Chargers games have you watched to make that determination? If you have seen as many as I have thanks to NFL ticket and my specific choice to watch almost as many Chargers games as Giants games (for the very reason of comparing both QB's throughout their careers which adheres to your own advice from earlier in this thread to make our own judgements) you'd think twice about that observation.

I hear ya about being honored to play the game and all but look at Eli. Eli is everything that is right for this league. I believe Archie simply made sure Eli didn't get stuck in a bad place like he did.

oh... I thought we were talking about casino's not state run lotteries which is another whole can of worms....You said casino's ruin lives.... I'd agree they are/can be a conduit to that end for the addicted/addictive personality....gambling of all sorts could ruin ones life if they have the addictive personality flaw....Its like not all people who drink become irresponsible drunks...Then we have cigs they hope you buy their cigs full knowing they can/will kill many ....anyhow nobody twists anybodys are arm to gamble and such ...but I'm with you on the point they want sell and hope you buy more
