  • Giants' GM Jerry Reese Named 4th Most Powerful Front Office Executive In NFL

    http://www.giants101.com/2013/06/21/...cutive-in-nfl/

Excerpt: "New York Giants General ManagerJerry Reese doesn't need to apply for a job ever again. In fact, his resume resides in Big Blue's trophy case. Since Reese took control of the Giants' front office in 2007, the team has doubled the amount of Lombardi Trophy's they have on display. The franchise has also adopted a winning mentality and have not seen a losing season under his guidance. It's for that reason it should come as no surprise that Reese was recently named one of the most powerful front office executives in the game by NFLNetwork.

    4) Jerry Reese, general manager, New York Giants

Reese is a very low-key person, but he gets the job done, and he garners a great deal of respect from people in the Giants organization. He started with the Giants' scouting department in 1994 and kept working his way up until he became GM in 2007. In the six seasons since he assumed the top job, the Giants have won two Super Bowls. If you want to make a trade with the Giants involving draft picks, he's the man to talk to, as he has final say on those." Read more...

Anyone else feel another Eli argument in our future?

Eli ranked #5 by Joe Montana - Jerry Reese ranked #4 by the NFL Network....

There's no question Reese is an elite GM. Might even say he's the foundation of this organization.
Torque it till it breaks, then back off a 1/4 turn.

Well...the weather report is usually good enough to start an Eli thread, but Reese really is a strong GM.

Very adept at scouting talent has really has drafted well (and shockingly...he seem to do it without our input).

Not sure how I feel about Reese in terms of trades, but it's never been a Giant's strong suit

Well, the front office does transcend the players.

I'm not surprised. He's very professional. His advance scouting is one of the best and everything he does goes back to the team first mentality.

Does anyone know who the top 3 are?
