  • Giants' David Wilson, Jason Pierre-Paul Will Be Among 2016 Elite

    http://www.bigblueview.com/2013/6/26...ure-elite-espn

Excerpt: "Giants RB David Wilson and DE Jason Pierre-Paul are expected to be top players in 2016, according to ESPN.

We'd all like to be able to predict the future. Unfortunately, we can't.

But that hasn't stopped ESPN from trying.
ESPN Insider released its projections for the top teams and players when 2016 rolls around. Included are New York Giants running back David Wilson and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, both of whom are expected to be among the NFL's elite at their respected position.

Wilson is gearing up for his second season in the pros, his first as a full-time starter. His youth and potential have led ESPN to believe he will be the seventh-best running back in the NFL in three years.

"I am going to operate under the assumption that Wilson learns how to protect the football and pass block by the 2016 season. If not, his stint in this league will be a short one," Matt Williamson wrote.

"But there is a reason that the thrifty Giants used a first-round pick on Wilson, who quickly established himself an explosive offensive weapon and one of the best kickoff returners in the league. But the best is yet to come." Read more...

Thats it? 7th? Why even write an article about the "future 7th best RB" ....like who cares

Im thinking top 3. Actually, if he stays healthy, I'd bet at a sportsbook hes top 3.

I would be ECSTATIC if he is considered in the same class as Doug Martin AFTER the season is done.

well, get ready jim bc thats whats gonna happen. I like this article, kinda backs up what i've been proclaiming for a while now, not to the extent I've gone (top 5) but close enought (top 7).

JPP's not elite now? I'd rank him as a top three 43 DE already.

I would be happy with that, there is so much talent at RB... Maybe the list will look like:
                  1. AP
                  2. Ray Rice
                  3. Marshawn Lynch
                  4. Lesean McCoy
                  5. Arian Foster
                  6. Jamaal Charles
                  7. then DAVID WILSON
Maybe not quite in that order but with those backs ranked ahead of him??

Yikes. Clowney over players who have already established themselves in the NFL?

We could only hope.... Here's to a positive career for the both of them.

They're both question marks as of right now. We don't know how Wilson will live up to the first round selection and we don't know how JPP will come back from back surgery. I have a good feeling about them but it's based on nothing but my homerness lol
