I want a guy who can throw in the pocket, has enough pocket awarness, but has the ability to move around and extend plays. I'll take a guy who can stand in the pocket make all the thows with even moderate movement ability. over the one dimensional running QB's its just not a formula for long term success. That being said in todays football you don't want a statue back there either.

Nope, Brady is the greatest QB ever and he's a statue, even Eli run faster than Brady.......
The great Bill Parcells once said you build your team from the inside out..
Give me a prototype statue QB, with a good offensive line..

So an Arron Rodgers type who looks to make throws at all costs in the pocket if he can but can also roll out and make a tough throw on the run even back across his body. But the big thing is if neither are there instead of making calls bad throw he can kill u with his feet and move the sticks
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

            # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
            2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
            3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
            4-New York Giants!!!
            5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

How many good OLs exist today? If you do happen to build one, it will be impossible to keep it together for long. That's 5 guys you have to pay big bucks for. You can't do that and completely mess up your team.

the game has changed a lot, statues will go extinct like the dodo. now when you say mobile, the old school crowd thinks "run first" which is stereotypical and wrong. what is needed is a guy that can throw from the pocket but also move around well and throw on the run to extend plays.

Brady can QB sneak for short yardage on crucial 3rd,4th and 1 plays. Eli can't. Another comparison failure there.

Exactly. You are never gonna have a great OL yr in, yr out. Look at Dallas this yr. You need an AR type QB at center. Really, Eli is faster than Brady? Then how is it that on just about every single 3rd & 1 or 4th & 1 , Brady can always get that 1 yd on a QB sneak but Eli never can?

Russell Wilson today 14-21 93 yards against dallas.

Mobile QBs can't do anything if no one is getting open and the oline constantly collapses around you.

Today no one was open for us, even the big plays were lucky catches(Lewis) or great back shoulder throw (Ellison) in tight windows.

Have to credit the Cardinals defense there except for the dropped passes.

Seattle OL isn't great either and yet RW has accounted for like almost all of Seattle's points this yr. Can Eli say the same?
