There was no holdout or contract dispute but you're entitled to your opinion.

I don't think people are annoyed - you're just hearing a lot of peoples' BS meters going off. Sounds like a casino in here.

What I find interesting is that his love for his family and the Giants were more important to him than getting a huge payday somewhere else. I rememer mentioning that, and people said that players go where the money is, not their loyalty. Not always the case.

Yep....he sure is a stand up guy agreeing to live in poverty for the good of the team and his family!
For a guy like me, who's union agreed to put a freeze on pay increases for the next 5 years, I can certainly sympathize with Cruz having to accept slave wages.
              What a trooper......what an *******!!!!!

he never said he would live in poverty and never said anything about slave wages. The guy made a comment about that he may have taken less money to stay a Giant and some of you are crucfying him. Which is total bull****.
is it Cruz's fault that you are a union employee and do the work you have chosen to do???
I am a blue collar worker. I wanted to do what I do. I knew I wouldnt get rich but I do ok.

geeze some of you are jaded beyond belief

True, but these guys also need to remember that fans who follow them, and who do all the paying, don't want to hear a guy who was just made a multi millionaire, complaining about having to take "less money" or how much it hurts to ONLY make 43 million!
Considering his Tweets after the Zimmerman verdict, and now this, Cruz is showing himself to be anything BUT a humble, level headed voice of reason.
I think he's being exposed as a bit of a "too good to be true" phony!
It irks me that between all his social commentary and pissing and moaning on the Twitter-verse, all his dropped passes have seemingly slipped his mind!
                            Just shut up and play.

I didn't take it as "complaining" but most seem to agree with you.

Only time will ell if he's a phony or not.
