It was a magnificent day indeed.
Seems like 15 years not 31 but that doesn't change anything.
No one remembers who came in second.

If you watch the NFLN piece, Jersey Guys, it's pretty cool and really paints the excitement of this day. My dad was exactly that, a Jersey guy. I was 11 at the time, but I vividly remember what a great time this was for my old man. He was so down in the dumps that year after making the trek all the way down to Dallas for the season opener with a bunch of his work buddies that season. Awesome.

I was there that day and I have to admit that my entire crew of tough guy Giants fans cried. (Some in that crew now deny that but we know the truth).

It was a surreal moment ... the Super Bowl was for the Cowboys and the Steelers and the Dolphins and the Redskins ... it never seemed like our sad sack Giants were even in the same league as those teams. Now our Giants ... our Giants!! ... were going to the Super Bowl!

          What a night!

wish I could remember but my brain doesnt work like that sometimes. I am sure I was flipping out. I do remember the SB tho. I was away for work and with several Bronco's fans.

Was there also, with my dad, a long time sufferer like many of our fathers. Were in our usual seats surrounded by are Giants buddies and when the game ended, as many others have said, a lot of hugs, tears and high fives. It was an exciting day and I miss going to the games now, without my dad. RIP.

Watching that game with those players and seeing what we have today actually makes me sad!
Players come and go on the Free Agency Merry-Go-Round, but the N.Y. Giants will always be here!

I was there with my brother... The single most wonderful game I have ever been at. The wind..the confetti...the hugs! I have a pic of my Ford Escort 1st in line to pay to get in. Late game and we were there about 9:30 AM and drove straight into the parking lot and got kicked out eventually to sit in front of the gate to pay to get in parking lot. I have searched for that photo and if I ever find it, I will post.

My brother and I were both home from college for that game, so we watched the game with our dad just like we did growing up.

watched this with my dad when i was 14. one of the best memories ever.

even though i didn't have to suffer long to see them win like you old school guys. it still is a fantastic memory and i have told my kids about that team a million times. and got to watch the second 2 with my two boys when they were teenagers. it really is a blessing.

i remember all 4 runs like it was yesterday. so many stories. there is nothing that feels like watching them win. i love this damn team.

do you guys remember how it felt watching this old team though?

like when the other team had the ball, i actually felt safer than when we had it.

our defense was crazy man. when the ball snapped, we just caved the damn offensive line in like they were, uh well, like they were the 2017 new york giants offensive line actually. hmmmm. damn. now i'm depressed.
