With Meyers on the field I just don't see a lot of formations where Murphy is on the field.
Empty backfield I guess and we suck in empty backfield.
I just meant he would align out wide with nicks and Cruz on the field.

I think he will see snaps in certain packages. It's possible occasionally he would be the #2 along with Nicks

I think NE did this in the second half of the SB. It's why I said we were magical with MM. Randle needs to prove he can do the same.
Because of all of the effort and examination being poured into these predictions, the draft is a robust market that, in the aggregate, does a good job of sorting prospects from top to bottom.1 Yet despite so many people trying to “beat the market,” no single actor can do it consistently. Abnormal returns are likely due to luck, not skill. But that hasn’t stopped NFL executives from behaving with the confidence of traders.

Cruz will let it all play out on the field. he got paid like a #1 that's all that matters.
Or maybe he said it bc that's the way he honestly feel.

Most teams the giants play do that. A big part of the reason the giants struggled against the 49ers in the playoffs was because MM couldn't beat his single coverage.

Randle is more talented than Manningham was. But he is still learning the offense. But sounds like he has really taken a step forward so far this season.

Well I don't think he's more talented than MM at all.
When MM was forced into the #1 role, he had HUGE games.
Randle is a solid talent and as I said, he should have a huge season. Manningham was a real playmaker. Don't know that Randle can do some of the things that MM could.

Well Randle is quite a bit more physically gifted. And if there was one serious knock on MM it was his lack of size and physicality. RR is a much more physical player. But we do have to wait to see how he develops

could be. at this point its a good situation to be in with a potential 1A and 1B.

He never expressed the sentiment I think I am underpaid.
what? lol thats not right at all. cruz's contract isn't "representing the past", therefore, when he references how he's been undervalued, it doesn't necessarily mean he's referring to some past event. he's describing the situation he currently is in. if his contract were the terms he wanted, he couldn't say "we've been undervalued" now could he...

Well playmaking ability is hard to gauge when you just look at a player's physicality.
Manningham was a guy who could take a simple play and turn it into a huge one.

But don't get me wrong...I like Randle a lot.

This 100%. The offense is going to be solid this year regardless, but if Randle takes the next step the coaching staff thinks he will, it's going to be very, very tough to stop the NYG offense in 2013.

"Make them go to Manningham, but make sure we've got Cruz and Nicks"

[15 seconds later, Manningham hauls in a 40-yard sideline catch]

But it's still very much dependent on Nicks and Cruz to force teams to double them
This seems to be the core giants philosophy: get enough guys to.take up double teams, and let another guy win a 1-on-1 matchup. Same story on the DL: JPP would take up double teams with.canty (2011) or joseph (2012), leaving whoever was LDE with a single matchup to win. It depended on whoever had the single matchup to win it. When it worked, you had a defense that held rodgers to 20 points and brady to 17. When it didn't.... It was a lot more painful to watch.

Cruz was overpaid. If you looked at last year and how Nicks wasn't himself for majority of that time, Cruz got the right amount of yards he was going to get without another big threat so he got more than what he deserve.
