No One knows what will happen with these players. I just hope that Nat Solder works out very well. That's a big deal with that expensive contract.

So sick of herzlich. Let it go
      Mel Kiper Jr., ESPN

I wrote after the combine that Engram was entering the first-round discussion, and I've moved him above David Njoku as my second-ranked tight end. He put up the best 40 time (4.42) among tight ends and the fourth-best vertical (36 inches) at the combine. At 6-3, 234, Engram had 65 catches for 925 yards and eight touchdowns in 2016.

            Herzlich, ugh!
Love the man, not so much the player.
I guess for a $1m contract that falls under the "owner's discretion" and won't hurt the cap in our efforts to field a competitive team BUT......if you watch him try to tackle guys in open space it is sad. There are better, cheaper options on ST but not that much cheaper.

Hopefully the contract is not guaranteed.
No one remembers who came in second.

Maybe someone can help me see what management has observed over the years.. Good story, but how is he helping the team at this point?

agreed. i think and hope we'll draft a CB at some point too to compete. Gay is old and the rest are special teamers really. Could use another body at CB

I don't think there was much of a choice unfortunately.
"Sir, I was wondering: did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night?"
                      "No...I didn't."

Couldn't they have just strapped Eli to a plank embedded behind the L.O.S.? That would have kept him upright.

Its 1 mil for a solid special teamer.. not sure what not to get.. people act like we are gonna heavily rely on him to start at LB or something.

I think the Giants underpaid Solder considering who he is replacing. Unless you wanted the Giants to issue Flowers a matador outfit and send him out to protect Eli's or a Rookie QB's blindside.

You're going to give the Eli haters ideas for a crucifixion.
