  • Giants' Hunter Sharp making most of opportunity with Odell Beckham limited at OTAs

    http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2...rt_river_index

Excerpt: "Despite the fact that he's still rehabbing from a broken ankle and entering the final year of his rookie contract, Odell Beckham Jr. was in attendance as the Giants kicked off OTAs Monday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center.

However, Beckham was only able to participate in early session individual drills but reps that would have been earmarked for the veteran during 7-on-7 drills and full-team periods have been divided up amongst several young receivers looking to make an impression on new head coach Pat Shurmur and staff.

Monday, that meant added exposure for Hunter Sharp, who took several reps on the outside with the first-team offense.

Sharp spent most of last season on the Giants' practice squad prior to catching his first career touchdown pass in Week 17.

After not choosing a wide receiver in last month's NFL Draft, Sharp, along with fellow former Denver Broncos teammate Cody Latimer, Roger Lewis, and Khalif Raymond could be in the mix for the Giants' starting receiver job opposite Beckham if Sterling Shepard remains in the slot." Read more...

Well if he did make the team he'd be a backup to Shepard in the Slot position. He wiwou not be in the running for the 3rd WR spot I don't think
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

        # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
        2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
        3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
        4-New York Giants!!!
        5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

Don't read into the practice reports. They mostly focus on unknowns to give fans a glimmer of hope.

Hunter Sharp was sign off of Denver taxi squad late last season. Latimer is another former Denver Bronco.
