Don't forget Brent Grimes. He is the best guy back there thatthey have but he is playing after he had knee surgery just a few weeks ago. He played against the Saints 2 weeks agobut not Tampa this past week.

PB corner or not, if he just had surgery and didn't play last week, hopefully this works to the giants' advantage!

From what I read, I believe they are ranked 20th or 21st in Pass defense. That can be a bit misleading however. Just take a look at the QBs they have played in their past 6-8 games.

                      Re: falcons secondary?

I will jump in because I seem to be the only one that really knows.

Brent Grimes is one of the most underrated CB's in the league. He doesn't get beat, he baits quarterbacks into bad throws just by being incredibly short, and he's the best athlete the Falcons have had since Michael Vick. The guy can covered megatron and out jumped him for balls. Hes only 5"10! He did just have surgery a few weeks ago, played against the saints but we rested him against the bucs because we want him to be 100% for playoffs.

Dunta Robinson is a great hitter. He flat out knocks ppl the "f" out ask the eagles WR's. Some say he is dirty but its the type of CB your WR are scared of when catching a ball across the field. But he gets beat. He isn't very fast and because he goes for the big hit he tends to miss tackles often. He also often gets frequent communication mishaps with FS Decoud.

Free Safety Thomas Decoud is a ball hawk. He is still very young and makes mistakes but he tends to hold his own.

Strong safety William Moore finds the ball and makes big hits.

Chris Owens - Is our nickle cb He is the player that the packers shredded last year in the playoffs.

Dominique Franks - I think will take owens's spot at nickle with the great play he's done with Grimes's absence. 2 Interceptions in his last 2 games.

thanks for clearing it up and being a realist. i had no idea the falcons are lining up all-pros all over the secondary, lol.

nicks will abuse dunta, cruz will abuse grimes. sorry, only one db has held nicks in check and that was revis, no offense, u guys dont have a db close to revis level.

ur secondary is very weak vs the long ball and intermediate to deep passes...guess what, we're the best team in the nfl at those.

                          Here ya go:

Brent Grimes: great corner when healthy; by far our best.. But just had knee surgery, could possibly not be 100%

Duanta: hard hitter, but gets burnt way to much, alot of us want him gone

Thomas Decoud: decent safety, but often miscomunication, and drops a few picks

William Moore: good safety; hits hard, decent in coverage

Chris Owens: Sucks. We want him gone; hes the reason the packers destroyed our secondar

James Sanders: Good Vet but thats about it

                            Re: falcons secondary?

Against two of the leagues leading passers this year (Stafford once and
Brees twice), the Falcons D gave up an average of 270.7 yards passing,
well below the average for those two. Both QB's threw for over 5000 yards. Both offenses are top 5 in the league. The Giants offense has a chance to gain some yards through the air, but I doubt they "abuse" anyone this weekend. And, here's a suggestion for you... worry about the Giant's secondary. They are ranked 29th against the pass and are facing Matt Ryan and company who put up over 720 yards in two games through the air on a similarly ranked Saints secondary this season. And they were still fumbling through and finding their rhythm. We'll see what happens Sunday.

[/quote]Works both ways. The fumbling through and finding their rhythm. Mind you this is probably the healthiest we have been.

Finally we will have 4 defensive ends that could start on any team, starting for more then a game or two together & are all nearly healthy.

Plus there may be a slight ray of hope that our defensive coordinator is finally starting to stop outsmarting himself and allow the defense to do what they do best.

So we have had 11 sacks in the last two weeks and started to keep opposing teams run game a bit more realistic. Oh and for our passing game we have also faced Brady, Brees, Rodgers , Romo x 2, and Sanchez (j/k). For many back to back games, with again a depleted defense and offense, and that is not talking about our players on IR.

Forgot to mention that we don't play in a dome, and conditions will not be perfect especially when Giants stadium is known for the havoc the wind can play in that stadium.

Hope this bit of info enlightens you

                              Peace,
