Maybe it has to do with the lost of Reggie Wayne? Also the O-Line which wasn't that good is dealing with injuries...

    • Even with a good Oline, Eli was still inconsistent and made dumb mistakes, so please put that argument to rest. Way too many people are labeling Eli untouchable because of the SB wins, as if no other QB had a chance in hell of winning those games if they were in his place. The past is the past, and he's still not worth the money he gets paid. Would it be a risk to trade him? Of course, but Eli is a million miles from being irreplaceable. Its not that hard to find another QB with his skill set. He gets paid like a top 5 QB, but he isn't, and he never has been. Why is that so hard to understand?

Or the lack of a running game. Their offense basically starts and ends with Luck. Actually, their whole team does, as their defense is pitiful.

Yup, Andrew Luck is tied for 1st in rushing TDs on the Colts & 75 yards from being the leader in rushing on the team. He's the main reason the Colts have the 3rd best record in the AFC. Props to him...

Carson Palmer had Tommy John surgery, and his arm has never been since.
Because of all of the effort and examination being poured into these predictions, the draft is a robust market that, in the aggregate, does a good job of sorting prospects from top to bottom.1 Yet despite so many people trying to “beat the market,” no single actor can do it consistently. Abnormal returns are likely due to luck, not skill. But that hasn’t stopped NFL executives from behaving with the confidence of traders.

Exactly when do you think we will see the guy? Eli will be here for at least 5 more years.

I saw CP just last weekend and he had both arms.

Luck is in his 2nd year. What year Eli is in?

Reggie Wayne is the leader of the team & that's who Luck have the best connection with, that's his security blanket,

The Colts are 8-4. On track to make the playoffs.

there is no "was" when talking about a successful rookie last year in Luck half way through his sophmore season.......

Why would ANY professional NFL GM--let alone some mo-mo fan-- take only ONE 1st rd pick for Eli this off season? He's a former #1 overall pick with two SBs and two SB MVP awards on his resume. I don't think a trade of only 1 pick has ever occurred involving a player with that kind of pedigree.

The only circumstance I could see--and only theoretically at that, since there is zero chance the Giants ACTUAL GM/owners would consider trading him--even for 1 split second--this off season, would be for a minimum of two 1st rd picks plus a second rd this year and a third rd next year (or a solid young OL player with a few years remaining of his contract in addition to two 1st rd and a third rd pick this year. And only if that offer were from Houston this year or another high 1st rd pick team this year.

That's the only trade that would make even a small modicum of sense, as this coming draft looks at least to be fairly decent for a couple QBs going early.

because he's on the backside of his career.
And he takes up enormous cap room.
Another team doesn't get to claim the championships we won with Eli.
Admit nothing. Deny everything. Make counter accusations.

Eli would have tons of motivation to give us a fantastic 2015 NFL season and he could either be resigned to a short deal to further mentor (also start unless his bad play emerges) our future QB or he could move on to another team and we thank him for everything he has done. Mariota, Petty, even the possibility of Famous Jameis...Nassib on the other hand will make an excellent 2nd/3rd string QB for the rest of his career.
with the amount of money the Giants have paid Eli over his career he shouldn't need motivation to play his best every sunday

Yeah right.........on track to crash and burn in their 1st playoff game, if they make it

4 to play and 8-8 usually does not get you in
