    huh? ?

it is a call that has been made by centers since before Brady was born

he very well could have been the first QB to take over the call... that I do not know

but he definitely did not create the call

Ahem.....Brady was not born. He was forged in the fires of olympus from the blood of Zeus, bequeathed on mankind to deliver us from suffering by displaying football skill unknown but among the gods and envied by the universe. Women want him, men want to be him and all yearn to be in his presense. His eyes illuminate the darkness, his sweat cures disease and his very breath gives life to the cursed earth.

I heard that it was Tom Brady who started clling the Mike at the LOS.
        It's what I heard. I don't know it for a fact.
Admit nothing. Deny everything. Make counter accusations.

possibly the first QB to take over protection calls..... I really have no idea

but it is a call that centers have made for their line mates for a long time

in laymens terms ... he is basically the unaccounted for man in the O lines blocking scheme for that particular play.....

sometimes saying....55 is the mike.... is just like saying .... hey FB 55 is your responsibility
I thought the Mike was always the second "LB" off the weakside (regardless of the player's actual position)? So in other words if a safety steps into the box at the WIL, then the WIL then becomes the Mike.

the MLB and the "mike" are not always synonymous

the only time they would be is if the MLB was the actual "free man"

they are not calling out the position ... they are calling out the man unaccounted for

                              That would do it. Thanks!
No one remembers who came in second.
