#Giants have sent G Geoff Schwartz to a foot specialist following his MRI on his dislocated toe today. It does not sound good.

Could be a week to the entire season depending on the severity. Richburg to replace him for now.

There goes our big "get" of the off-season...

As if our o-line was good to begin with. Terrible, terrible news for him personally as well as this God forsaken offense.

Giants have some bizarrely bad injury luck.

Can anyone think of any other nfl player who missed significant time with a dislocated toe?

The only good news is that he may have "options". I guess they can try rest and treatment first, before surgery.

Depends on if there is Tendon damage. That's a lot of weight pressing against it every single week.

I'm told the best case for Geoff Schwartz is that he'd miss around a month. But again, the worry is he'll miss a lot more time than that.

Still waiting for word on G Geoff Schwartz (toe). Everything from missing a few weeks to season-ending is apparently in play, pending MRI.

In that two-minute drill, the Jets got pressure on Eli Manning rushing two players. Seriously. This offense is fa from fixed.

                Yea....we're in trouble.

Russell Okung missed 8 games last year due to toe ligament damage.

But we needed a wideout with our number one pick! Good offensive lineman are easy to come by. Like good linebackers. But wideouts? You never stumble across a good one of them after the first round. Sarcasm (for our dimwits)

this is very troubling. i've been one of if not the most adamant about our issues and ultimately eli's issues tied to the OLs horrifying decline over the last few years.

schwartz was a sign of hope for me at least, that combined with our other FA OL additions, we'd be alright. Well, Jerry has been a total miss as far as I can see. Walton has looked decent at times, but, has also completely gotten destroyed by his matchup and allowed a free lane to Eli in each preseason game. Richburg has looked solid, he's reminded me of how Pugh played last year.

so, really, how did we improve the OL then if Schwartz is gone? It was an epic failure last year. Walton, Richburg, and Mosely HAVE TO hold up they just do otherwise i dunno how we overcome an OL like the one from last yr.

people keep pointing to how Nassibs been playing and worrying about Eli, when really the concern should be with the OL. there have been free rushers at eli like every other snap in the first 3 preseason games and vs the Jets, their DL imposed their will on us for the most part...ugh.

Do you think the giants would ever entertain the idea of bringing in a guy like Incognito? I admit I do not know a lot about the bullying issue in Miami, and if he had issues elsewhere

This is a really good point. Nothing against OBJ, but the root of all the offensive woes was the failure of Reese with OL depth 3 years ago. He didn't plan ahead, and that is a huge failure from any GM in the NFL.

Result is a 2 time SB QB skittish in the pocket wondering where his next big hit is coming from. Don't think the players don't know what the long time effects of concussions are. Now Schwartz is out, maybe for the entire season. Brown and Jerry are terrible. Richburg will likely struggle in his rookie season. And Walton looks bad too. Beatty, who knows if he returns to 2012 form. Pugh was a great pick.

Unbelievable. It's putting the team right back where it was last year.
