  • This ain't no Philadelphi***

I've spoken with a half dozen friends who went to the game in Green Bay and they all report what I've seen there personally in the past. They say that the fans couldn't be more gracious to visitors or passionate about their team. Everyone said that if they were ever going to root for another team it would be the Packers based on the class and graciousness of their fans.

Night and day was the response when asked to compare the Green team in GB's fanswith the Green team's fansdown the NJ Turnpike.

No one remembers who came in second.

I can report Wisconsin is a nice relaxing area to visit in the summer too. Normal folks up there. Good people.

      Re: This ain't no Philadelphi***

I was there this past weekend and it couldn't be any more true. Here's a couple of things that happened this weekend.

      * was at a bar and my cab left me. A couple I was talking to offered to drive me across town
      * game day, I spilled my beer at a girl and she offered to buy me another
      * dropped my glove somewhere and retraced my steps to find it on a garbage can to find.
      * got lost leaving the stadium and people walked me back to the bus ( i was a little banged up at this point.

      those people are awesome

I agree every Green Bay fan I have met have been class acts. No trash talking. Friendly banter sure, but nothing trashy.

Classiest bunch of fans in the NFL. So nice to the point it took us extra long to setup the tailgate because Packer fans kept on coming over to just shoot the s*** and welcome us. Offered food and drink and ust engaged in good convo.

Funny enouogh Bruce Beck asked me if it was like Philly (at the 44 second mark):

After the game Packer fans kept on coming up and congratulating us. The ONLY indicent we had was someone trashed our flagpole at our minivan and normally I wouldn'tmind so much except for the fact that included inour set of flags was the US flag.....not happy about that but one fan doesn't make a fanbase.

In terms of the flag, it was probably an Eagle fan who had gone hoping to see the Giants with egg on their face.
