  • Big Blue wary of praise

"...Defensive end Osi Umenyiora remembers that his squad played “angry” in Super Bowl XLII, that the Giants felt slighted by an undefeated New England team and a world that viewed the championship game as Patriot coronation instead of competition.

That gave the Giants fuel, and Big Blue is doing its best to maintain that competitive fire, even as fans, analysts and Giant opponents hop on the bandwagon. Umenyiora pointed out that the Giants are still slight underdogs in this game. And defensive end Justin Tuck seemed to caution against listening to the Pats, noting that New England loves to make nice with opponents before games.

“Typical Patriot fashion,” he said as soon as New England’s niceties were mentioned. “They give compliments to everyone they play.”

We can compliment them as we whip their tails
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
    2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
    4-New York Giants!!!
    5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

most teams compliment the other team
especially during the playoffs and SB.

      it's just professional sports/football etiquette .

listen to Coughlin , same shyte.
      always complimentary towards the opponent.

only "Brontosaurus Rex" and a few other
miscreants show disrespect and lack of praise.
due to the fact that I am from the Woodstock generation ...
my opinions may be chemically enhanced and influenced by severe episodes of memory loss

basically shut the F up and play.

That ****y BS didn't work when they face Ray Ray and the B-more squad, it sure as hell won't fly against this Pats team.

        Do as Coughlin instructs.

Practice, Mentally prepare, study film, take notes, THINK, prep, focus and then execute.

        finish. 60 minutes.

        no dumb emotional-caused penalties.

protect your QB, Tackles and Guard.

Run your full route to completion, get separation, make plays Receivers

        yadda, yadda, yadda

        just. finish.
