  • Spagnuolo pressure compared to current pressure

Was listening to Colin Cowherd and he had Peter King on. King was discussing the 07' pressure that the defense brought against Tom Brady, compared to our current unit's pressure to the Quarterback. Suggesting that our current defense might be easier to handle. Because the lack of Spagnuolo's exotic blitz packages.

Re: Spagnuolo pressure compared to current pressure

there were quite a few big plays in the game made by a guy from the secondary coming on a blitz. i dont think they ever got to Brady but they threw off his timing and the pass was always incomplete.

the front 4 was the main reason we won, but in a game that close every play was important.

                Agreed
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                4-New York Giants!!!
                5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

Spags ran more stunts and had a lot of exotic looks... FEWELL does too but not as creative with creating pressure...

Let's remember FEWELL has a bunch of young former 1st round picks in his defensive backfield

I don't think there will be a need for exotic blitz packages.

This pats team is not as scary as the one we faced in 07-08
