and this they shafted the Giants thing is such BS. not every team has the perfect schedule they want. last year we also started the year with 4 of 7 on the road, same as this year. Giants also got blessed with not traveling further than Cleveland after week 7 last year. thats 10 straight weeks on the eastern time zone. it happens. some years we get a good schedule some times we get a rough schedule. it just so happens

the only thing i would say they should change is having to play the two west divisions in the same year. but theres nothing that can be done about that now
on Mike and Mike this morning they were saying the biggest factor (if its even a factor at all) is the lack of down time the Giants will have compared to other teams. Its a -22 hours.

I clarified above.....meant season ticket holders.

Did you read the article.....the schedule could LITERALLY not be any more inconvenient from a rest, travel, opponent's schedule standpoint. How does that not equate to getting the shaft? Just cuz it happens doesn't make it right.

I feel like if they could get away with it the schedule makers would do this:

        Week 1 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 2 - @Cowboys MNF
        Week 3 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 4 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 5 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 6 - @Cowboys MNF
        Week 7 - @Cowboys SNF
Week 8 - BYE (to be held in Arlington, TX)
        Week 9 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 10 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 11 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 12 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 13 - @Cowboys TNF
        Week 14 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 15 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 16 - @Cowboys SNF
        Week 17 - @Cowboys SNF

The Monday night game vs the lions really sucks. Basically like 2 days off of work if you go. The other game I'm pissed about is the cardinals on Christmas eve right during dinner.

the Giants play 4 teams coming off bye weeks ... that's more than any other team in the league

that is something like 22 collective days of rest ... 10 more than any other teams opponent

these are pretty major factors that that will go over looked by most

This schedule sucks, but there are some positives to take from this.

First off, we have back to back road games twice this year. First @Philly (a short bus ride away) then @ TB (a short flight away). That isn't too bad in terms of back to back road games. Not like @Minnesota/@GB from last year. But the first game is early, second game late just how it should be. Then we have @Washington (short flight) then @Oakland. This one the first game is Thursday night so we have more days to recover before making the trip west.

We play our three toughest non division opponents off their bye weeks (which is BS), but at least Seattle and KC are at home. They are the two toughest places to play in the NFL.

Bye week 8 is the best you can hope for.

3 of 4 final games at home. The division race will come down to the end of the year and we are at home for it.
                  LT (132.5) -> Strahan (141.5) -> Osi (65) -> Tuck (60.5) -> JPP (50) -> ???

Should have clarified......it's inconvenient as a Season Ticket Holder.....5th year in a row they had an away opener.....the only 2 times they've had a home opener over the last 8 years was to open the new stadium and to celebrate the Super Bowl.....last home opener non-midweek was in 2010!!! So they bump the opener to week 2.....fine but now it's on a frickin Monday....got to either take off work or leave early to make it. Then they bury their last 4 in the last week of November and December......frigid temps.....nothing a few pops won't fix but come on.

As a fan I love 1pm games....if it was up to me every Giants game would be 1pm......take the prime timers and 4:25pm EST starts and shove them (West Coast 4:25'ers I get).
Yes this Schedule is complete TRASH

Makes no sense why they always do this to the Giants. IF I remember correctly they had as many all almost as many games vs teams last year coming off Byes?? Why do they not spread it around. IT puts the team at a disadvantage. And also they were one of the teams with the least amount of rest last year and now add Four West Coast Trips to that mix.. They could of granted their request and made at least one of them back to back out there so they could of stayed on the West Coast. But they have them hopping back and forth for Home and Away games across the Country like Jack Rabbits. So dumb

They also play 4 of the first 6 away from home similar to last year when they played 4 of the first 7 on the Road. And do not have a Home Game against the NFCE till week 14... Wow. They are setting them up to be out of it before they get those 3 of last 4 at Home
Football has been very, very good to us.
After losing seasons 2013-15, the giants put up 11 wins in 16.. they are on way Back
But for now we can console ourselves with this fact-

                    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
                    2-Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
                    3-San Francisco, Dallas, Denver
                    4-New York Giants!!!
                    5-NE
Let's make it 5 in 2016 so we can be on a LINE NE again!!!

Another bright spot is our two home games against west coast teams are early games. West coast teams have a very bad record coming east for 1pm games. It's not all doom and gloom.

Two teams off byes last year.
One was GB on the road in prime time after a road game in Minnesota in prime time. That was brutal.
The other was the Bengals at home.

because you're making it seem like the schedule makers did this on purpose lol they have 32 schedules to make and they all have to aligned and work out perfectly. The schedule is the schedule. We had 4 west coast games this year no matter what and we had to travel no matter what. but to say they shafted us is BS. The only thing you can say they shafted us with is they didnt fit our request to have 2 road west coast games back to back, but who cares lol maybe they couldnt work it out with the Raiders and 49ers schedules...
