Tom as in Brady or Coughlin?

Because if it's Coughlin, hell no IMO.

    If brady, yes

The only thing for certain is that Coughlin will be Giants HC until HE tires of it.

How many more years that is, it's impossible to predict. But 7-8 years does seem to be unrealistic, since that would take him to age 72-73.

But I do think another 2-3 years is very likely.

          It'll be more than 3.

We could be looking at a Marv Levy situation here.

I think we'll have our answer when we see his contract extension i believe that will be his last contract I say 3 years!

He will get a 4 year extension and retire with one year left. It will be planned that way with year 4 being the lowest salary. This way, there is no lame duck status to scare away potential FA's.

Are we interested in Fewell as the heir?

You really think Tom's wife wants him around the house all day!

I am still not convinced he won't retire.

not after hearing jeff fischer say that everyone in the head coaching business wants to work for the Maras/Tisches.

There is no doubt that Bill Cowher would take the Giants job if it was available. Gruden etc...

There would be a lineup of coaches wanting it.

on Earth or as Giants HC?

I guess he does, but he better learn how to motivate the troops in mid-season or he will be gone gone gone by then

                        Maybe. Who knows?

My only point is that when he leaves will be determined by himself, on HIS terms--unless something radical happens, like we go 4-12 or worse, which he has never done once in his 16 year career so far as HC.

I think he'll know when it's time and just retire. He has the confidence of ownership and Jerry Reese. He is a great coach and cares about his players. Not a bad guy to have around.
