This game could be another ugly one.

The Giants can not handle the long balls on defense, and Rivers throws one of the best in the business. Not that the Giants are much better at stopping the run (How did the Giants let their defense get so bad), but Rivers is going to have a field day with this secondary.

I have been saying 37-17, but I think the Giants allow 40+ for the third time this year. I'll say 45-17 Chargers.

Why is it that people think that if you look at your team objectively when they are not doing well that you are not a true fan? Please,

I love the Giants too, that doesn't mean I can't see what's happening on the field.

I recall the weeks leading up to the Chiefs game, and the Raiders game. We all had some fun posting comments from their message boards where fans were talking about how bad the Giants were going to put it to them. Did you think that they weren't fans of their team?

Until the Giants show me some perfomance more like the first five weeks and less like that last three, don't ask me to naively think we're going to beat any of the quality teams we have ahead of us.

I think Malcolm Floyd will have a huge game this week. Those of you looking for Jackson and Gates are going to be surpised at the damage floyd can do. There is a reason why everyone says he has the best hands on the Chargers. That's saying something since the Chargers have lead the league in fewest dropped passes the last 2 years. I agree with the original poster the Chargers very well could put up 40 plus in this one.

All you have to do is have the game winning TD on the line, and run Sproles up the middle.

The Giants know what  to do.  Ray Lewis showed them on film.

I think it depends on how the chargers scheme. Generally if you get your WRs matched up against either Webster or Thomas they arent going to do much. Same if you get Gates against Boley.

However, if you get these guys into a slot position against either a saftey or Pierce/Clark, they are going to make big plays.

SOOOOOO what your saying is if your team keeps losing you should start saying they are going to get blown out every game that is up and coming ?

what you should do is root for them and say F the negative. be negative when its over. then the new week starts and root again for your team

When asked in an interview after the giants won the super bowl, Eli manning was asked what he thought about the comments that former Giants RB Tiki barber made about Eli and the giants, Eli manning had only one word to say . . . . . . . "COMICAL"

Re: This game could be another ugly one.

I'm as big a fan as anyone but I can't ignore the facts. I can scream all I want at the game Sunday but that will not help the Giants win. The Giants have not stopped the run or pass all season when they play a winning team. They only beat Dallas because of three picks. They still have the same OC and DC. What changed this week that will make things change ? So they are sitting CC Brown. The guy replacing might be worse.

Re: This game could be another ugly one.

I don't believe that. Firstly, I think Boley and Canty's return will help. (Neither one is a savior, but it will HELP). Secondly, the Giants defensive disasters this year have all been on the road, not at home. (this is clearly not the road warrior team of 2007, they'd have given up 40+ in Dallas too if CC had been in there instead of Phillips). At home, even against the Cards the D looked at least halfway competent.

I say they'll win this one, 27-21. Not writing the season off yet.

Re: This game could be another ugly one.

With Canty and Boley returning (even on a somewhat limited basis) it will help with a lot of things. Boley should put some energy back in the LB core and Canty should provide pressure up the middle and even if he doesn't  Boley's Gap Coverage between Osi and Canty is far Superior to anyone who's been playing LB the last 3 weeks.

Re: This game could be another ugly one.

I'm a life-long Charger fan, but I'm also a realist.  I agree, this game could get ugly...but for either side.  Yes, the Chargers have a passing game that's almost unstoppable when hitting on all cylinders.  On the other hand, we have NO run defense, and tight ends have killed us for years, regardless of who they are.  Jacobs and Bradshaw are beasts, and that's what worries me.  That power running game can take a lot of time off the clock, and if we fall behind early, it's gonna be a LONG day.

I think we can win this game, but it's NOT gonna be easy.
