- In all three SuperBowl victories, the Giants played their SuperBowl opponent in the regular season.
1986 - Broncos (Week 12 win)
1990 - Bills (Week 15 loss)
2007 - Patriots (Week 17 loss)
2000 - did not play Baltimore during regular season
- The Giants need a republican president at the start of the season to win.
1986 - Reagan
1990 - Bush 41
2007 - Bush 43
2000 - Clinton
So, let's get a 3-for-3 Tempt-Destiny-Play-Them-In-The-Regular-Season-with-a-Republican-in-The-White-House ring!
Am I just being a grump? I'm probably over-reacting. I'm sorry, and certainly don't intend any offense to the artist.
HA HA HA, I did the SAME THING! I put together different combinations of arbitrary and related events and they did not come close to what we have here. Your reactions are very much like my own - "I'll believe it when I see it type of thinking". However, I could not find anything that was created specifically for and in support of the NY Giants Super Bowl bid let alone a "perfect" win/lose Super Bowl track record documented by the NFL. If there's one out there, that would be news to me.
BTW - Those three years that the Republicans were in the White House had 2008 being the ONLY one of the three to be a leap year - nice try. Also one minor detail you seam to have overlooked, as stated at TemptDestiny.com:

So you see, you're not alone with being "bugged" about all of this. This Tempt Destiny billboard thing just cannot be explained or rationalized - it is what it is. Maybe they should call the "Ring of Destiny" the "Tempt Destiny It-is-what-it-is ring"? GO FIGURE?
Oh, and about having a fan ring. Although I would LOVE to have a copy of the Giants Super Bowl ring, I would never wear it - that would be posing since I did not earn it - the players did. BESIDES, we have our own that we (fans) earned:
