Nope the Mets fans are too busy getting excited about the Mets "pwning" the Marlins to worry about winning World Series.

I can do the "on paper" thing with you but I don't think I have to prove to you beyond a reasonable doubt that the Mets have a pretty good lineup and a much much much better pitching staff then the yanks do this year.  I mean you are throwing 2 unproven rookies into the top 5....either way it is a long season and it is way too early to get excited about anything but the start of the regular season.  The Mets look fantastic so fatr and the Yanks look just okay....I think both teams will be there come september and hopefully for my sake the Mets will make their bones with new generation and move on to the world series this year...Hopefully that will be against the Yanks but alas the SOX have OWNED the yanks...like i've said before we have come to expect that kind of embarrassment from my Mets but the Yanks have no excuse....

I believe last year there were 18 games between the Yankees and Red Sux...we won 10....but yeah...they sure OWNED us.........

Both NY Teams are pretty good....and we have a long season ahead of us....before any Mets or Yankees fans start planning on taking a day off for a Parade down the canyon of heroes...let's just see what happens...

of course I was talking about preseason when I said the Mets look fantastic and the Yankees look okay.  and if you want to get all HARD wit me yo do it when you have some grounds for an arguement.  You ask "how have the sox owned the yanks?''  i will very very very very easily tell you...since 2004 the sox=2 world titles  da yanks=0 now i know the mets haven't won either...i like the underdogs...so just save that response not to mention the awesome 2004 series you guys had against them...down 3-0 and you lose the whole series...thats how the yanks have been owned by the sox...is that enough or are you going to say 26 world titles 26 world titles!!!!  yeah that would be the mark of a desperate man....its like I have heard you tell cowboy fans in here.  "what have you done for me lately...but blow a 3-0 lead and get knocked out in the first round having to watch your rivals, who yankees fans are quick to call inferior, win 2 of the last four....thats the lastest run...that is dominance...the Torre era was dead in '04 when you overpaid Alex Rodriguez...a lot of good he has been for you....I hope the mets do meet the Yanks in the world series because Arod is definitely no Big Papi.  I would take one of Ortiz's many clutch hits over everyone of Arod's meaningless homers...ha...let me save you a response by saying I know the Mets suck...i still love em. for fans that are quick to take off there shoes and sox to count world titles and remind everyone who likes another team what is really important your ignorance surprises me...take all the season series you like all that matters is the sox have 2 and you guys have zero in the last 4 years....and I don't want to hear that the Yanks didn't play the sox in the playoffs since '04 because you have to be worthy to play in the ALSC and the Yanks weren't GOOD enough where the Sox were.  that's being owned by your divisional rival. take all the regular season wins that you want.  the sox finished in first and the Yanks got knocked out in the first...again...and save your mets rhetoric, i actually am a fan of my team....i know that we stink on a general basis....when none of your rookies pan out the way you want and the yanks miss the playoffs this year (prediction!) your bandwagon butt won't want to talk baseball anymore

Yeah the phillies, the braves, and the marlins owned us last year but thats the mets for you...the funny thing is with their young nucleus they should get a number of shots at it...y'all isn't a phrase for writing, it's for saying....to tell you the truth I like the yanks.  Jeter is a class A person and he makes it hard to hate the yanks.  At least one superstar in baseball really gets it.  It looks like David Wright may have those same qualitites...the only difference is David Wright will also put up good numbers....Jeter did compete for a batting title but I think he really needs to win one.  Just to prove to everyone that only goes by the stats that it wasn't a fluke...i'm pretty sure bandwagoner is not a word...It makes little sense to even argue with a yankees fan.  yYou guys are numero uno in every major category and now with Arod going for 800 in the new Yankee stadium, its only going to get worse (or better depending on how you look at it)...but since you guys accept responsibilty for everything that is great in baseball you must, as the kings, accept responsibility for the Boston Red Sox.  Since you want all the credit you definitely have to take the blame for making us all live in a world where the Red Sox are champs...2 out of 4!!!!  I am very disappointed the Yankees have allowed this to happen. At least the Phils haven't won yet....We keep a much heavier city under wraps and with a little help from the Rockies last year we plans to keep that way!  Get a hold of you division man!  Then come meet the far superior team in New York in the World Series!

Actually, I've been a yankee fan since the womb and I stood by my team in the 80's and early 90's when they sucked. I was there for the Claudelle Washington, Andy Hawkins, Kevin Maas and Bobby Meachem years. I was there when they drafted Brien Taylor #1 overall just to see him flop like a fish and get hurt in barfight, thus ruining his projected "hall of fame" career. I've been there when Scooter was making me laugh on WPIX while I was growing up in the Cuse. My whole family does like the Mets though. Kevin McReynolds was one of my favorite players in the 80's. And I am and always will be a HUGE Darryl Strawberry fan. I only rag on the mets when their fans try to talk smack. Yeah throwing those 26 rings at someone is my last resort no doubt. It's a good last resort. And I do agree with you about that choke job against Boston. That really sucked. I guess we will both know who's destined for a good season when June and July hits. Where were you in the 80s-mid 90s when the yanks sucked....probably watching Daryl and the Mets I know...

Actually, I've been a yankee fan since the womb and I stood by my team in the 80's and early 90's when they sucked. I was there for the Claudelle Washington, Andy Hawkins, Kevin Maas and Bobby Meachem years. I was there when they drafted Brien Taylor #1 overall just to see him flop like a fish and get hurt in barfight, thus ruining his projected "hall of fame" career. I've been there when Scooter was making me laugh on WPIX while I was growing up in the Cuse. My whole family does like the Mets though. Kevin McReynolds was one of my favorite players in the 80's. And I am and always will be a HUGE Darryl Strawberry fan. I only rag on the mets when their fans try to talk smack. Yeah throwing those 26 rings at someone is my last resort no doubt. It's a good last resort. And I do agree with you about that choke job against Boston. That really sucked. I guess we will both know who's destined for a good season when June and July hits.
