Let's see how Eli does next year behind an improved oline (hopefully) and new oc!
Eli played poorly this season, but football is a team sport. The oline, rbs, wrs, oc, and qb all contributed to the offenses failures. Comparing 11 and 13 is unfair because the talent level of the team was different. Hakeem was a top wr, Cruz was playing out of his mind, and Ballard was at least serviceable. Eli hit on the big plays when he needed to and for the most part, pressure came from the edge with the pocket remaining firm. This year, Hakeem looked like an old man stuck in quicksand, Cruz was heavily doubled, Eli was pretty inaccurate, and the oline made every dtackle look like jj watt coming up the middle. In 2011, once in a while the tackles would get beat and Eli would at least be able to step up into a clean pocket and make an accurate throw. This year pressure came in the form of entire jailbreaks. The line would consistently be driven back 6+ yards with instant pressure. Eli had no chance all year. He saw ghosts and got no help from the running game or the mustache man.
