  • The more I think about it, the more I see trading back as the ideal scenario. We can get a ton of value trading back and that will go a long way towards building up the roster. And we can still land a quality QB after trading back if that's the route they want to go (and there's also Davis Webb to consider)....

  • True, Watson was a better passer than Jackson in college, which is why I am not advocating taking Jackson that early. However, Jackson is a better runner than Watson and he's going to blow up the combine. He's somebody who can give opposing d-coordinators nightmares trying to gameplan against him. He's...

  • People said the same thing about Deshaun Watson and he was the most dynamic player in the league last year. Every time somebody doesn't fit the mold of what people consider to be a prototype QB people compare him to other guys that didn't amount to anything. Some guys break through the mold. Doesn't...

  • He obviously has to improve throwing the ball but hes still the most dynamic player in college and has arguably the highest upside of any qb. Whether or not he can play QB at the next level remains to be seen. I think in the right system and coach he can be a stud. Theres almost no way hes gonna drop...

  • Trade back in the first to get an extra 2nd this year and 1st next year.

    Target 1st round picks:
    G Quenton Nelson
    LB Roquan Smith
    DB Minkah Fitzpatrick

I they can land one of those guys in a trade back scenario, thats ideal for me. Dont love any QB at #2 overall....

started a topic No to Barkley in the first

No to Barkley in the first

I'm just going to explain why I think drafting Barkley in the 1st would be a mistake. I'll start by saying that I think he will be a tremendous player and would be thrilled to have him on the Giants. But it's just not the best route when trying to maximize value. It's no secret that RBs aren't as valuable...

I think you could make a case for 5 different QBs to go #1. They all have pros and cons. If the Giants think one is worth that high of a selection, so be it. If not, take BPA or trade back.

We might not land a franchise QB if we pick a QB at #2 either. Im all for getting a great QB at 2 if they are in love with one but it seems there isnt a slam dunk type prospect, they all have some cons. Could get a ton of value if they trade back...

replied to I still want Mayfield
After watching him today, I dont think we should draft him, at least not 2nd overall. He definitely needs to be more consistent and accurate throwing the ball. But I would still love to get him if we trade back. His athleticism and running ability is just so good that it heavily makes up for his throwing...

Right now to me, lamar jackson is 1a and mayfield is 1b. We should have a shot at at least one of them. Dont want rosen darnold or allen at #2. Prefer to trade back if not jackson or mayfield. Jackson plays today at noon so I will be watching that game.

    replied to Quentin Nelson?
I have read that Nelson is one of the best guard prospects in a long time. Still, I cant see them using #2 overall pick on him. If we do trade back he should be a target.

  • Lamar jackson is my top choice. By far the most upside, improved significantly as a passer and running ability is just ridiculous. Let him learn behind Eli for one year if need be. Really does depend on whos the coach though. Mayfield is my second choice, or trade down. If we trade down maybe get josh...
