  • Actually it isn’t. They did trade for Tyrod Taylor. According to them, he’s the starter. The best player in the draft is alleedly Barkley so taking him first overall makes sense and like others said, it gurantees them getting Barkley and then taking one of the QBs at 4. Also their GM’s assistant,...

I don’t care who Cleveland takes as we cannot control it. But I’d actually like it if they took Barkley. It’d guarantee us taking Darnold likely. I was thinking that Cleveland might actually take Barkley first, and taking BPA, thereby guaranteeing they get Barkley. It makes the most sense as Barkley...

  • Another trade Beckham thread, great. Yeah let’s trade a generational talent for an unproven draft pick and during the mean time run WR Sterling Sheppard and whoever else out there to catch passes.

I don’t get anti beckham sentiment. All of his incident are overblown. Cleveland stuck...

  • That was our od GM so the article is now pointless, but thanks. We’ve all beat hte JR draft dead horse into the ground. Time to move on and see what the DG era brings. Hopefully good times as this is probably our most important draft since 2004.

Darnold has nothing around him unlike for example, Mayfied who had a good Oline, TE & WR. Darnold pressed. Darnold has the it factor plus attributes you cannot necessarily coach or teach: accuracy, touch, football IQ, quick decisions and reactions. His turnovers are overblown and stem from being...

Seriously. I thought the same thing. I liked Reese and appreciate what he did for this team, but his stinkers really stunk and he never really owned up to his mess and came across as arrogant, smug, and humorless. Reese was a damn riot next to McAdoo though.

    Anyway, Gettleman has the...

  • Who cares what the Pats do. They’ve had Brady and Bellichick. All their other parts are interchangeable. Bellichick gets Brady and others to drink the Pats Kool-Aid. They take pay cuts, shorter contracts and less money and are still loyal to the team. This happens despite the fact that Bill shows...

  • Negative. It is a pass happy league and wide receivers are the main part of the offense outside of the QB. That is why, for example, the Bucs extended WR Mike Evans, the Eagles Alshon Jeffrey, the 49ers Marquise Goodwin, and even injury prone and enogmatic WR Sammy Watkins (who can’t hold ODB’s jock...

  • Exactly. Everyone here clamors “build through the draft.” Then we overpay on free agents because we miss on tons of picks. The picks we do hit on- Linvall Joseph, Jonathan Hankins, & Prince Amaukmara for example, we let walk. A good team drafts well and retains its own. That is how you build a team...

  • Agreed. We’d be dumb as a box of rocks to draft Barkley at #2 when we need a future QB.

Look at Barkley’s game log. He is no Elliot or Fournette. Most of his yards came in 5 games, which were the only times he went over 100+ yards. He had over 20 carries only 3 times. Most of the time...

  • Exactly. We’d be dumb not to take Darnold, Mayfied ir Rosen. Allen looks like a poor man’s version of Joe Flacco at best and the rest have backup or journeyman written all over them.

We can hope to compete with Eli in 2018, but beyond that putting our stock in unproven Webb who didnt...

replied to Trade back and still get our QB?
I think the Browns are going to pull a shocker and draft either Allen, Mayfield or Barkley first. This will give us a choice of Darnold, Chubb or Nelson, not to mention Barkley or Mayfield possibly depending on who the Browns take. There is no way Allen should be chosen in Top 10 IMAO. Hopefully...

Like the idea, but Jets already gave up a bunch of picks. They probably cant afford it now. Allen is likely fool’s gold too. Cannon arm, but lacks all the imprtsnt traits a successful NFL QB needs like accuracy, pass touch and placement, and throwing into tight windows.

    There are only...
