And let's be real, Penn State was a pretty bad team and the OL was especially bad. At the end of the day only time will tell if he was worth a top pick....

As I explained your opinion is we should not take him #2 and I don't argue opinions about draft position. It is pointless. You mentioned in more than 1 post that all a RB has are stats. It is foolish and you know it.

If we could redo drafts would you take LeVeon Bell and/or Kareem Hunt...

  • Bill is a great coach. Brady is one of the best QBs ever. I think without either of them they don't approach this level of success. WTF has Kraft done? Other than hiring Bill. Find one of the best QBs ever and your team will have success. For instance in Marino's career the Dolphins had 12 winning seasons...

  • That is not what everyone is saying. The smart people say that. Plenty of people say "it doesn't matter we just have to take a QB" and when asked which QB they say "I don't care, just take a QB. You don't take a RB or G, take a QB". That is stupid and happens every day on here....

Exactly. If it is even or close you consider their position. If Darnold and some DT are even you take the QB for sure. Imagine being the Raiders or Cardinals and passing on Adrian Peterson because QB and LT have more value in the top 5 of the draft lmao. No thanks. Even the Bucs took a DE that year...

Yep. It is only a franchise QB if he is good, if not it sets your franchise back 4-5 years. I actually made a thread about that on here some place....

The value argument is always foolish. Gallery was taken #2 because he was a LT, he sucked and the next 6 guys taken were Pro Bowlers including a TE. 14 Pro Bowlers were taken after him in the first round. Steven Jackson didn't "have value" either so he fell to # 24. Anyone here really want...

You did say that. It's an exact quote. Go read your post on 01-13-2018, 03:50 PM.

"Not putting up numbers in the NCAA , you would think would transfer to the NFL"...

  • Except that Robinson never won the Heisman and as a SR was moved from QB to RB/WR because he was not a good QB. Lamar Jackson has played and started for the last three years at QB. Jackson is 6'3" and Robinson is 6'. They are not even close to being the same guy....

  • It goes the other way too. With Shurmur as HC they would have less reservations about letting him make Webb into a stud and using the #2 pick to fix other parts of the team....

Lets assume the Browns take a QB at 1. We trade back to # 5 with Denver. They take a QB. That leaves Indy and the Browns picking before us with Barkley, Nelson, Chubb and Fitzpatrick still on the board. Unless they think one of these QBs is going to be an All Star they try to trade with Denver and move...

  • Correlation does not equal causation guys. There is another famous stat that when you have a 100 yard rusher you are more likely to win than when you have a 300 yard passer. There is a simple reason. Same with most of these playoff teams having high rushing yards. When you are winning games you run...

  • I can see it going either way. They take Shurmur and pick the best QB on the board letting him mold the kid. Or they take Shurmur and then pick BPA and let Shumur mold Webb. IF Shurmur can mold any QB out there why waste a #2 pick on a guy when we have Webb sitting there? With all these holes I think...

  • His passing got much better from 2016 to 2017. There is certainly potential there. Most of these types of QBs I don't think will succeed in the NFL and I am generally right. I do think he has some skills to work with though and in the right situation with time and the right staff he can succeed. Like...

I'm not talking about draft position, that's your opinion and I won't argue about draft position opinions. You said this "Not putting up numbers in the NCAA , you would think would transfer to the NFL". That is the problem. Now if you "misspoke" and did not mean that then it is fine,...

  • Pat Shurmur Scoring Offense as OC

Just looking at what Pat Shurmur has been able to do as the OC for teams. Listed are his three stints as the OC, first in each group is the year prior to Shurmur getting there. Note that in Philly 2012 he was name the interim OC during the season. I don't count that because he was not running his offense....

  • I like Shurmur. He has experience as HC, played OL in the 80s, started coaching OL in the 90s and has done great with the QB situation in Minnesota. He was one of my top choices. Not sure this is true though, sounds like people taking shots in the dark hoping to the be the one that "broke"...

  • That is impressive speed for a big dude. That size really gives him some impressive range. I would not be upset with him as a pick at all.

LB seems like there are some decent options this year. I really hope we nail this draft, it is shaping up to be a good one. I think the Butkus award...
