Nothing would make Plaxico happier than playing for the Eagles
    Quote:

One year later, Plaxico Burress is still pushing to join the Philadelphia Eagles.

Burress appeared on 97.5 The Fanatic on Tuesday and said, “nothing else would make me happier” than joining the Eagles. Buress said the Eagles had “a lot” of interest in him last year. (Although not enough to out-spend the Jets.)

The Eagles need red zone help. That’s basically Plaxico’s role at this stage of his career. It was reported by Adam Caplan of SiriusXM that the Eagles would have interest in Burress. We can’t imagine there will be great competition for his services.

The Jets paid Burress $3 million on a one-year contract last offseason. There was an element of risk because no one knew what Burress would look like after his prison sentence.

Now we know what Burress looks like: A role player. There’s not a lot of reason to think Burress will get a better contract this offseason.

Will be 35 years old by the time the season starts.

    You can have him Eagles.

In all honesty I don't see the Eagles making a move for Plaxico.

They have 10 draft picks, they could fine an adequate receiverin the draft.

If he were to land there, I hope it works out for them as well as Steve Smith

Isn't this the guy that just said he wanted to play for the Giants? And now he wants to play for a divisional rival? Plax just seems intent on destroying whatever respect Giants fans have left for him. Whatever. We don't want him anyway.

I'm guessing he doesn't want to put his family through a move. He can play on 5 teams and not move his family:

    GIANTS
    redskins
    jets
    eagles
    ravens
