Jonothan Vilma and His lawyer walked out of the appeals hearing, cutting it short. Saying they were not going to take part in a Sham.

What are you talking about ? Vilma and the players listed are the ones that brought the suit, and won't let it go. And didn't have the balls to see it through.

Yeah the only thing I can agree with Vilma about if defamation of character. But really Goodell makes the rules and this is his league you don't like those rules you can just not play....oh wait that was your punishment for next season anyway, see that is just your good ole buddy Goodell helping out. lol

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

The proceeding today involved Goodell hearing an appeal of Vilma's penalty by the NFL. The lawsuit is a separate proceeding that is still ongoing.

I'm referring to Goodell punishing the players. Coaches, General Managers, etc. Fine but leave the players alone. If they delivered hits that were so bad, they would have been punished at the time that it happened.

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I'm coming down on the players' side so far. They keep releasing evidence that speaks to the pay for play stuff, but there's really nothing that's been released to show that these specific players did anything out of the ordinary or that there were bounties involved. The evidence released yesterday reaffirmed the punishment for coaches, but I don't see where it proved the case against the players for the league.

Drew Brees compared it to the evidence of WMD in Iraq and I tend to agree so far. If the league is sitting on some other evidence - let's have it.

Or how about this ? ( Since the players are SOOO fast to march in lock step against the commissioner ) why didn't these Saints players go to the commissioner, or at the very least, their HC. Screaming " We have a loose cannon coach, who wants us to intentionally injure our opponents for Hit Man money. " They didn't because they wanted to do it, and got caught doing it.

Que Rhett Butler in " Gone With The Wind "

" Scarlet, you're like the thief, whose not at all sorry He stole. But is terribly sorry He's going to jail "

Same players taking money for these hits will sue the NFL 10 years from now for physical injuries.

That's such a simple way of thinking. You can't stop a moving train. And why would they snitch on their coaches? Most NFL players come from neighborhoods where snitching is looked down upon. Some places you get killed for that.
