Big Blue Was Built For The " Kill Shot "

We all know what Bill Parcells would have done. And maybe TC should have looked inside His inner Lombardi. But thats not how the Giants roll. The offense we have today is Electric, not conservative. We expect Eli to put it up, and go for the Kill. You live by the Sword, you Die by the Sword. As long as we have Eli and Company, we will live rather well.

Nice I like it and agree but in hindsight after sunday I wish we were a little more conservative....but when I first saw that ball go up in the air I thought it was a TD.

Eli under pressure missed a wide open Bennett and through to the sidelines, everyone makes mistakes as long as they are few and far between we will be fine.

No... you're mistaken. Nor was Ahmad Bradshaw open. The fact is, they were covered up when Eli had to make a decision. When he looked that way and drew back the ball, the coverage let up. (Which leads me to another thing - I wish Eli would pump fake more. He did it more than usual in the 2007 playoffs, and it worked to perfection).

You have to consider passing lanes, and the defensive player's ability to recover before the ball arrives. Those two guys were not open and I'm tired of hearing people say that they were.

I will take my chances with Eli pulling the trigger when he thinks he has it.

I finally was able to watch the game last night. I listened to it on the radio on Sunday. It did seem like Eli threw it up deep too many times. More then "normal" I would say.

I still do not understand why they do not use the short pass and set up a lot of screen plays against the eagles. Their D is over pursuing and the field behind the LB's is wide open. But then again Killdrive knows best or so he thinks because we have not beaten them in 7 out of 9 games. Perhaps some day he will figure out that it is time to change from having Eli go deep on the Eagles to going short and getting YACs.
