football is usually a short career ,
but you can rock your music all the way to the dirtnap ,
and still leave your kids the royalties.
and even though everybody forgets it ,
NFL players are first and foremost......entertainers.
and entertainers have to cash in when they're hot.

it will always be about the money.
    so good for him.

i remember riding the bus going to school and my first rap tape was raising hell. (though lot of rock in roll in that album)

I proudly took part in bringing Joe, Darryl, and Jay into the spotlight.....rest easy Jason

I was also there during the Raising Hell sessions.....was in the control room while Joe and Darryl tracked their vocal for Peter Piper

It’s the sport of kings, better than Diamond Rings
That’s why we’re here to sing, football.
Sunday in the snow, referee’s whistle blows
    We’ve been warriors toe-to-toe, football.

For Old Timers, do you remember the names?
Like Bronco Nagurski and Nightrain Lane,
Bulldog Turner, my man Sam Huff
In the snow and mud, they were still real tough.
Crazylegs Hirsch and remember Raymond Berry?
Ask me if they hit hard and I’ll say “Very!”
Paul Christian, Buddy Young, Lenny Moore
It’s them I adore, they seem to always score.
Ed Sprinkle, defensive end for those years
Gene “Big Daddy” Lipscomb was the man to fear!
You had Steven Van Buren and Otto Graham
Johnny Unitas had the arm of a Superman!
We had Charley Trippi and Gino Marchetti
If you’re searching for a champion, they’re your best bet!
Wish I could quarterback like Johnny Lujack
Or even Sid Luckman as a matter of fact.
Do you remember Red Grange, the Galloping Ghost,
    He could do a ninety-five running coast-to-coast.
You had Norm Van Brocklin, a real great player
So slick with his moves that he could be mayor
    Y.A. Tittle, Ollie Matson, Hey!
I remember all those guys, from back in the day.

    Song Title : EASY

I come from the streets of Paterson.......
It's not the Big easy ! But Nothing ever comes easy !
So I will play football for u all, which will make us stand tall, on my way to easy street.
And after each Touch Down, I will do my Salsa dance.
Then the fans will take their stance, and everybody will do the easy street Salsa dance, Come On !
Come On ! Giant Fans ,You know how to do it now !

+20....I'm a Big time old school rap connoisseur. ATCQ, the Artifacts, old school Nas AND Jay-Z (like reasonable doubt), Original Flavour, AZ, EPMD, Extra Prolific, The Roots, De La Soul, Gang Starr (R.I.P Guru), Pete Rock and Cl Smooth, Rakim, KMD, NWA, Hieroglyphics, Lord Finesse, Jeru The Damaja, Biggie and Tupac, Big L.......even the producers back then were UNREAL, Pete Rock, Dj Premier, Buckwild....the list goes on

What we hear today isn't rap by any stretch of the imagination....it's a bunch of corporate mainstream garbage that girls dance to in the club....zero soul, zero originality, zero substance, zero creativity, zero realness....complete and total GARBAGE

I get in this debate with my friends all the time who say that I'm stuck in the past and I ruin parties with my old school music that no one knows...it's so depressing to see all the young people of today's minds' so polluted with that trash that they can't appreciate real music. Instead, they'd rather listen to a clown talking about how he has more money than them, and bragging about his $, his cars, his girls, his expensive champagne....and other material bull####.
