WE MISSED THE PLAYOFFS BY 1 POINT!!!!!!!
We missed playoffs by one point. Unreal. We lost to the Redskins the second time we met: 16-17. Had we made the field goal we missed at Fed Ex field, we would have beaten RG3 and the 'Skins 19-17. We would have been the NFC East champs. Record would have been this: Final result: New York Giants- 10-6, Washington Redskins- 9-7. Revenge will be so sweet this September.

Just saying hypothetically, we should have made it. Oh we'll, next year hopefully.

Not really, the skins had the ball in the red zone when they kneeled out the clock... if we were up they could have easily scored a go-ahead...

On the other hand, losing 2 points to philly because Eli thought that Barden the Terrible could spell Nicks (and the resulting int-saving PI that pushed us out of Tynes FG range) is a complete disgrace...

    That's the way it goes.

You could also point to the easy field goal that would have won the first Eagles game, instead they run a play and get holding or offensive PI and add 10 yards to the field goal attempt, which they missed.

But last year if Romo doesn't overthrow, or Wes Welker doesn't drop an easy pass, we don't win the SB. It goes both ways, gotta take some bad ones with the good ones.

    With

    Locklear
    Brown
    Nicks

Out or pretty much done for the year

    and

Bradshaw, Canty, Hosley, Prince, Phillips, and Tuck

    barely playing with lingering injuries,

Not sure we would have gone that far anyway.

Never say never, but the injuries were not with us like last year..........

No. We missed the playoffs because we did not take care of our business and the Redskins did.

I doubt anyone is thinking about the Redskins and revenge. Seriously, what could the Giants possibly have to avenge against the Redskins?

We had some games we pulled out of the fire.. Like the one vs Washington the first time with Eli's last second pass to Cruz. We also lost close ones like have been mentioned above to philly and skins. In the end we just didnt get enough wins. 1 win short. Last year 9 wins got us the NFCE. A few yrs back 10 wins didn't even do it.

Gotta win 11 next yr! 9-10 wins in today's NFL isn't a sure shot at getting into the playoffs anymore. Parity has more & more teams winning 9-10 games every yr & then it all comes down to tie breakers which have shafted us in 2010 & this yr.

Never should have thrown the ball in that situation.
