This January vs. last January

Although I was certainly disappointed to have the Giants miss the playoffs, I have found it strangely pleasant to watch the games without a knot in my stomach. Can you imagine how painful some of these games have been for the fans of the playoff teams?

Though ecstatic with the results last year, I was worn out by the tension of the Giants playoff games. Watching the games this year with interest, but emotional detachment, is very relaxing.

Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just rationalizing?

I'll take the stress if it means we're competing, like we should be
