    Osi's trade value

Ok, GM game - you are approached to trade Osi ahead of trade deadline.

What is the absolute minimum draft pick you need to agree to this?

No more than five word answers.

    GO.
  2. Re: WITH GIANTS' GM JERRY REESE, EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

I'm still not buying the "Pay Osi stupid money or trade him" argument. There is still the option of letting him play out his contract. If we are going to give him stupid money, give it to him next...
  3. Re: WITH GIANTS' GM JERRY REESE, EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

If we are drawing correlations, for the record, one of Bradshaw and Jacobs missed six games this season. The giants lost four of them.

Granted one was New Orleans but the others were close-ish...

Re: POSSIBLE FREE AGENT TARGETS FOR GIANTS

Slipk - sorry, yes, a big amount of Barden and Sintim's cap hits are tied up in must be paid bonuses so it does make those cuts more questionable.

Re: POSSIBLE FREE AGENT TARGETS FOR GIANTS

Sigh...other teams have the money to go and get what they want because either

    a) they are cheap; or
    b) they are rebuilding.

The Giants are neither, as the last two years have shown. They were...

    Ok.

Caponomics seem to be as follows:

Take the base set out by spotrac.

    http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-giants/cap-hit/

This is isnt 100 per cent, as I commented before, it doesnt...

Re: POSSIBLE FREE AGENT TARGETS FOR GIANTS

Giants are 6+ mil over the salary cap and only have roughly 39 players under contract.

They arent spending money on any big name FAs.

Dude, where do you get that 6 million figure from?

    (I...

Re: Lombardi blue chip / red chip

Not so sure about Snee, but I agree with the rest. However, I bet he puts Eli as a red chipper. I could also see JPP as blue (but he probably needs a few more good years to be considered top 5) and...

  13. Re: Bill Simmons/Cousin Sal podcast and Eli article up on Grantland...

Simmons is consistently excellent and balanced particularly when it comes to basketball. On NFL, for me, he can still be very one-eyed, pro-Pats and. intellectually, incredibly inconsistent. A great...

Re: all kidding aside-Osi to the Jet's?

I agree. First rounder = trade. Likelihood of first rounder for Osi given his age, contract, attittude, skill-set = very very small.

  17. Re: Giants projected at 7.25 million over the cap...

The projections to me seem to be based on current roster plus rookies plus free agency signings needed to get to 51 players.

On a couple of those rankings it is not too far off - via spotrac we...

Re: all kidding aside-Osi to the Jet's?

Personally, I think Osi as a 30/31 yr old pass rusher does his F/A value a huge dent if he doesnt prove he is still somewhere near his peak. This year he has, i think, 9 sacks in 9 games and is worth...
  19. Re: Giants projected at 7.25 million over the cap...

Here are three other projections of the cap value we have for players contracted this year...
  20. Re: People have to stop looking at free agency the way that they do.

Nicks is signed until 2014 (FA in 2015) I believe, and is making decent money. 12.5 mill total. We have to throw something to Cruz oooor tell him do it one more year and then we'll extend. IMO...
