Totally agree. I saw them line up, 4th and 10, and I thought oh NOOOOOO! They had been doing much better prior to that play on D!
BTW, what's up with the 10:00 PM thing? It's 6 pm EST.
I think the worst D call was on their 4th and 10 when we rushed 3! It's hard enough to contain rg with 4 men. but 3? Come on!
Thank you for your service! Awesome girlfriends help out a lot when you're "over there'" and it sounds like you've got one! Stay safe, and come home well! While away, root for Big Blue! Prayin' for...
Giants vs. Bears NFL Championship in (I Think) '34? Actually, there was sort of a replay in '56! When the Gmen came out in the 2nd half with sneakers on, George Halas told his players to step on...
This has been talked about in other posts, but Ross was one of the fastest Giants. He says he would win a 100, but she would beat him in the 400. Two crazy Texans!
Children please! All of you like Eli to some extent. All of you like JPP to some extent. Whether or not it's passionate love doesn't matter. We're all Giants' fans. When I was very young, the G QB...
Belated congrats FBomb! I read the thread earlier, but that part about the garter wasn't there yet. I'm glad to see that one of the happy couple has some common sense! JK! I'm working on 44 yrs....
Ross admitted she was faster in a 400 during his 2nd yr. as a Gman. He also said that he was faster in the 100. Don't remember anything about the 200.
MY BAD! Didn't notice the date on OP's post! Now this reply is really timely, right?
As a vet, I think it's in very poor taste to begin anything on Memorial Day. Why not Tuesday?
This from an old ****, I hope you have as many yrs together as my wife and I. We hit 44 yrs this fall. Sadly, she's a Browns fan. But there used to be Browns!
This is totally off the current subject, but I've tried to find out how to put some reaaly old stuff into the histoire (a little French lingo for y'all) and haven't succeeded. One of my all time...
Everyone wants the kid to be a receiver, and he may well become one on Giants, but keep in mind that he apparently can block right now. That's what will get him on the field. When Boss had to come in...
Glad to see someone remembered Rosie Brown. Some people have called him the best LT ever, but if not, he was certainly the best in Giants' history. Jumbo Elliot? How about Gifford? Huff? How far back...
I hear ya! I think if you go thru the records, you'll find that the difference between the winning team and the losing team in championship games (total points) will be the '58 NYG. I'm talking about...
As usual, RF provides food for thought, and the 4 guys mentioned are indeed interesting! Personally, I don't like Edwards because I live in modified Browns country, and I used to listen/watch them if...
Were you part of the post re: the drought, 56-whatever? I just posed again on that to Foxie about the great defense that we had. i still think that the '58 team was the greatest D in NFL histoire (a...
I should have come back to this post earlier. Foxie, the difference between the Perkins' Giants and the ones in the late 50's is that they kept going to the big game. "58 and '9, they had no O. They...
He was supposed to be a RB. Mostly used as a K/P returner. He would stand back at the appropriate depth, hands clasped behind his back, watch the ball, mostly catch it, and I don't believe EVER...
All you guys hating on Dayne and Lewis and Brown, etc., did any of you ever hear of Rocky Thompson?
Hey Bo - you want to hear about some of the D back in the day? Had dinner, working on my first cup of java.
I can name some names, but keep in mind that in under 2 weeks, I'll be 71, even tho' I don't look a day over 69!
C- Ray Wietecha, smallish but had the unique ability to snap on FG's so that the...
The drought started in '64, not '57. The teams from 58--63 were super. They won no championships, but they were more than competitive, they were feared! Consider in 58-9, they were beaten by the...
