Should be a Top 100 List.
"Stats don't lie"
Hall of Fame beckons.
I don't think you need to tackle to be on the Giants defense.
I'm sorry, I've got zero sympathy.
His only job during the offseason is to stay in reasonable shape. Sports hernia?....WTF?
Can't say I'm surprised though....Giants lead the NFL off-field...
There is no reason to rush him back. We all know what he can do when he's 100%....that's the goal.
Tiki usually did something like that every game.
I remember this crazy game....
The Fassel Years.....never boring, that's for sure.
Tiki was one of the best running backs in Giants history.
People can disagree with his opinions all they want.....but the guy showed up in prime condition, worked his *** off, and had the best...
The more I read about him, the more I like the pick.
If he can stuff the run, and be disruptive on a blitz, he'll find his way on to the field.
I agree that after free agency and the draft, this team looks like it added both depth and talent.
And as much as I wanted Floyd in the 1st, and Ragland in the 2nd, I think Goodson was a solid...
Judging from the comments.... some posters are more into hot chocolate than defense.... others believe that a 4-3 defense must by nature field mediocre linebackers to run effectively, and others...
In his defense, I'm imagining that someone stuck a microphone in his face and asked him a question that begged an obvious answer.
Going with this hypothetical scenario, I think the Giants could request and get a 1st and 2nd round pick for Eli Manning.
I would look at the Carson Palmer trade as a point of reference. Raiders...
Now that Coughlin is gone, we should bring back Robinson. He would absolutely shine.
No, I got your point. I think our disagreement might be in our interpretation of "wait and see". I'm not starting from a neutral standpoint. I'm starting from a negative standpoint, based upon...
I think when a team is coming off a lousy year, it's reasonable for me to take a "wait and see" approach before believing anything other than the most recent experience.
As for Football Outsiders,...
At this point, yes.
I hope they do great, but I've got them pegged around 7-9, so 6-10 doesn't seem like a stretch.
Dallas, if Romo is healthy (huge if), should be the favorite in the NFC East....
Every time he plays the Giants, he plays like a superstar.
And for the past several years, no other player has more brutally exposed the Giants defense, especially it's linebackers.
...also have the best linebackers.
#1 unit: Won the Super Bowl
#2 unit: Played in the Super Bowl
#3 unit: Playoff team
#4 unit: Perennial playoff team, and coached by the guy who knows more...
And the Giants keep delivering on their expectations.
Agreed. Thanks to a weak roster, and injuries, Giants had no pass rush, and even when Spags sent the blitz, it got blocked up. At some point, players need to execute, or all the coaching in the...
I wish him the best. Nice kid, great story, and he gave it 100%. Maybe he finds another home as a reserve, special teams guy, etc..
I don't have the draft chart in front of me, but I believe dropping 10 spots for a 2nd would have been (value point wise) in the favor of the Jets. So I can understand sitting tight.
Team looks better on paper.
I will contain myself until I see some wins.
I wish Combine performances factored into the playoff format....Giants would be sitting pretty.
I'm similar. I voted C, but really, could go C+ or B-
Most likely, I would have voted higher if we had a better track record in rounds 3-7.
But I'm assuming that most everyone drafted beyond...
