They're onto you Rosey. ;)
When I saw this thread I thought "Man these guys need something to do with their day. There's nothing much to talk about, so let's make up something." (Like ESPN does)
I think Coughlin still wants to coach football. I see him taking another job elsewhere before coming back here.
Bringing TC back is a bad idea IMO. It could undermine McAdoo and the team in ways we can't even imagine.
Maybe at some point, but not right now. Mara is well-intentioned, but it is a bad idea...
When he went to Denver, did he bring his offensive system with him? I never paid much attention to how that played out.
The post refers to Bromley as "the Queens-born baller".
Being a Giant's fan is not easy these days.
I think that is 100% correct. And why TC going was the right move.
You can argue about talent level all day long but given the roster, there were losses that were squarely on the HC's shoulders...
You have to wonder if his behavior undermines the coaches. You're right - it seems like he behaves 180 degrees out of phase with the rest of the organization.
He's also the genius who put up the...
This is very true. When the Giants went to their last Super Bowl, I was expressing my astonishment and a friend said to me "You're too close to the team. You know too much."
There is something...
You have to wonder if draft picks became more of a decision by committee - Coughlin, Mara and Reese. There's no question that with George Young it was not that way - which is as we all know a reason...
Worse than that IMO is the fact that he is defensive. That is a bad sign.
Datt, you and I disagree about Eli. That's ok. IMO he was not very good his first few years. Including 2007 - but he started putting things together toward the end.
Nobody said he was a bust, including me.
The point is, he was awful right out of college. Had there been a young QB on the roster who was good right away, Eli would have not seen the field. (I'm...
Don't forget Eli was nearly a "bust". If he had been a 2nd or 3rd round pick, they would never have been as patient with him as they were. He was awful his first few years.
^^ This ^^
I'd still like to see the data, if anybody has done the homework on this.
Agreed. But remember these are supposedly "consensus" choices.
Things might change now with a new coaching regime.
Since the patriots are regarded as an "ideal" by many, have any of you guys taken a look at their drafts to see how they have done in recent years? I for one would be interested in seeing that.
I agree. I think it is really possible that we are in an era now where the game could be dying.
I think he caught it RF. Will have to wait for the review.
If he did, then I think this ranks right up there with Tyree's SB catch. I fully expect the Giants to work out YA this spring.
Wasn't Singletary considered somewhat of a nutcase when he was with the 9ers?
