As I see it we have biggest holes at:
-Pass rusher (Both DE and Sam lb)
Also: general offensive and defensive line depth

Neither Spikes nor Beason play the pass particularly well, but Spikes is much more of monster at stopping the run. He may be slow as a walrus, but a monster nonetheless. He would be adequate as a 2...
He's a little better than Beason... but that's not saying THAT much
Wade Phillips doesn't even run a traditional 3-4... The linemen all play a one-gap system
